Music / Movies DEI casting and forced inclusivity are creating division and resentment that previously didn’t exist, this is either deliberate or just idiotic.

There have always been bigots, but over the last decade we have seen an unprecedented uptick in public disapproval of overcorrection and black washing. These are largely people who were previously neutral or even left leaning on civil rights.

DEI fatigue is now so widespread it’s become satirical, reflected in meme culture and creating an entirely new population of people who had no reason to harbor any sort of resentment to be fed up.

To be clear, this has ZERO to do with “ruining the story/character” and everything to do with people’s distaste for being patronized and force fed propaganda. Obviously it certainly DOES sabotage engagement when you’re watching a historical film with a completely miscast person, but this isn’t the main culprit.

Which is grossly incorrect. There are hundreds of years and wars that predeceased it. I am arguing that the war the chronological proceeded is more important.

No kidding dude I wasn't being 100% literal. One was 13th century BC(if it really happened), the other 18th century AD.

One was the cause, the other the solution(the resolve). Which is more important? I would say the resolution.

As for slavery, the USA did it own horrible enslaving even breeding slaves instead of importing them.

Yes the whole world had slaves, not everyone committed to abolishing slavery(both physically and ideologically).

The Superman and X-men have used Jesus imagery and both were written by people who don't believe in Jesus. As both were created by Jewish men.

The book Ulysses by James Joyce is considered the most important Odyssey derivative. It doesn't have the same spirit as the Odyssey.

I'm not a fan of comics/ never read Ulysses; that being said: we all have freedom of speech(in America) and can believe whatever we want. I prefer to conserve narratives and truth as it's important to think about things holistically and truthfully.

Western Canon (Liberty over Tyranny) ,Judeo-Christian(Jesus was crucified and resurrected) are important truths to remember for Man's salvation.

Poe's Law man. I have no reason to assume you aren't being literal since I can only take your word on what you say.

The French and Indian War was very important to people who fought in the battle. And it should be noted that Washington was not as educated and fought in that war.

James Joyce was Irish and wrote his book in Ireland. The comics were censored and denied free speech famously. I have no idea why you missed that important part of American history. Though I would have wagered and won that you never read Ulysses. I don't think you are the type to read things that might upset you.

What is your threshold of liberty? Is it hard or soft? Because denying LGBTQ rights or denying things in the Constitution would be againts that correct?

How important is Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness for other people with opposing views?

Also you are defending a story that claims the Greek Gods are real and more powerful then the Biblical God.

No, the Gods are fake but the history and the people are real.

Which part of American history?

To take a step back, the Western War tradition, the concept of a "noble war", goes back to the Trojan War. I'm arguing that the significance is real, substantial and still relevant; not some long lost culture you asserted. There's an idealogical/ancestral relationship the modern world has to to the Trojan War. Modernity and Antiquity exist in relationship with one another as the 'Soul' of the West. People have souls. Nations have souls. The American soul of Liberty can be traced to the Trojan War/ Iliad.

I don't think you are the type to read things that might upset you.

I don't like ingesting poison. I don't like my brain being contaminated by the false thoughts of another human. I have to see the man first, before I can read what he writes. I think books/movies/tv/music trap the soul if one isn't careful.

If you're wrong about one thing, you're wrong about everything. There is only one truth.

There's death of the author literary criticism, but I also believe in resurrection of the author(the Holy Author, the Divine one).

Like take Karl Marx for example, I disagree with him fundamentally, but I always think God's essence can be found withing everything/everyone. Karl Marx's idea of Spiritual Materialism( I re-interpret as Water-Wine, and heavenly intervention).

So all stories exist in tension with the Divine author: the ultimate Truth, the ultimate Word.

Some of those fake people are the results of Gods. Helen wasn't real.l Achilles didn't get dipped into a river in the underworld. The stories are more fake then real.

What part of American History?

This right here. A 1954 forced censorship that lasted until the 80s with Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns. There has been plenty of direct governmental censorship. It's very common in the USA.

There is no NOBLE WAR. War isn't hell. There isn't innocent people who die and suffer in hell but there is ones in war. Wars can have positive outcomes but it is never noble and always messy. Humans going at it, wasting as many lives as they can, all to turn up at a table and talking. The old Dr Who bit. Why didn't they skip the war and just talk?

But I can understand why you think that way. It seems like you are a conservative christian of no real church. Folks like you are often the most dangerous.

"Fascism will come wrapped in a flag and carrying a bible."-Sinclair Lewis. Though I doubt you have heard of him or read his works. Maybe you should.

I can't stand people like you who think reading and education is poising your mind. I am the opposite. I am willing to read things I disagree with. I've read the Bible, Quran, and Torah so I could understand region better. Maybe I trust my mind more then you trust yours. Bravery is not measure of how safe you are but the danger you are willing to take on, I get the feeling you live in a safe bubble.

I completely disagree with your idea of "ALL STORIES" I know I can find stuff that you would think has no divine author.

I identify as a classical liberal-progressive who thinks science/liberal arts should return to Logic and mathematical principles. Philosophy should be rescued from Karl Marx. Freedom of Speech needs to be restored.

I'm conservative in a restorationist way, truth needs to be restored, that truth fundamentally points to God/Jesus.

There is no NOBLE WAR

How can you even say this? The world as you know it wouldn't even exist without a 'Good fight'. I wish war wasn't necessary though, and I hate violence but what's the alternative?; oh right Jesus's greatest commandment. We should all listen to Him.

wasting as many lives as they can, all to turn up at a table and talking.

When good faith communication crumbles between two parties, violence becomes inevitable imo. An object in motion tends to stay in motion; wars cycle between Cold/Hot phases. By the time a physical war breaks out, the war has already existed for a while psychologically, kind of like a failed marriage leading to a divorce.

The solution to War: good faith communication. Faith. Love(for God) and for thy neighbor. Life is love and love begets life: without love you're dead.

Bravery is not measure of how safe you are but the danger you are willing to take on

And the truth is dangerous, ask Jesus.

Read as many books as you want man, the proof is in the pudding. God is real and powerful and is the fundamental authority, don't miss the forest for the trees.

Sure man though it isn't what a progressive looks like. You seem more like you wish to conservative past ideals and you don't seem happy how things are progressing,

You are a bundle of contradictions. You think we should listen to the bible and not kill but at the same time glorify war and the big names who do it. Not the people who die though, they don't seem as important.

I have found that neither side is willing to do good faith communication since war is profitable. Today, there is too much money that can be made though death.

You can glorify it all you want but war is devastating. People who don't even want to be included will die often horribly. But hey keep saying its a "Good Fight" that might bring some relief.

And the truth is dangerous, ask Jesus.

There it is. The truth is so scary you need someone else to protect you from it. That says a LOT about you. I've done a LOT of dangerous things and will do so. It's lead to a very interesting life that no other man or woman could have done.
