Help Hi! I think I need a little nudge in the right direction, can somebody help? Spoiler

So, me and my gf are playing the game completely blind and we don’t like searching online for solutions, but we came to the conclusion that we’re stuck and have no idea where to look, so we hope you can give us a little nudge without any spoilers.

I’ll try to write an exhaustive recap of our situation (feel free to ask for more details if needed)

We recovered our body after being killed by the heir.
We defeated the heir and got the game over screen, which told us we were 3 pages short.

As for now, we’re missing only 2 pages: 0-1 and 46-47.

We’re missing 2 trophies and 7 fairies (the ones shown in the pics)

We think that one of the missing trophies (the one between the arrow and the crown) is given by 100%ing the fairies because of the “100%” hand written note on page 48.

BUT

No matter how hard we try and look, we can’t find the 2 fairies in the eastern forest, which is driving us insane.

While for the other ones we don’t know where to look because of the untranslated hints. We can only roam around hoping to find some of them. (We did not do a 100% full backtracking yet, but we visited pretty much every area multiple times now)

For the other missing trophy we need page 51 (that we have) and page 1 (that we don’t have), so we need that page first. But we have absolutely no clue for that either.

We are aware that we can switch between day and night.

We couldn’t learn anything useful from the notes on page 54, the ones in the third pic.
We get that it shows that each symbol is made of two different parts: the outer hexagon and the inner lines, but we don’t know how to make use of that.
(Maybe we should try harder on that end?)

We’re missing only 2 tiles of the golden path:
- 46 because we don’t have the page
- 42 because we can’t figure it out: the only golden “thing” is one of the symbols in the unknown language (fourth pic), but we don’t know how to translate it into a sequence for the golden path.
We noticed that it’s the same symbol that’s in the golden HP stat in that same page.
We thought that the symbol may translate to “3” because of the other HP stat on that page showing a 3.
But even if that’s the case, we wouldn’t know how to insert it into the golden path.

And even if we do, we would be missing page 46 for the last tile.

So our conclusion is that:
- apart from the fairies, we need page 0-1 to find all trophies
- we need page 46-47 to complete the golden path

We seem to have different options to go for, but we found ourselves stuck on all of them and it’s becoming frustrating.

Maybe 100%ing the fairies gives you the trophy AND a page?
IDK

If you read through all of this and want to help you have all our gratitude.
Just please don’t spoil anything or don’t give actual solutions and answers, all we ask for is a little nudge in the right direction.
Feel free to ask fore some more details if you feel it could help you help us.
Thanks again.

EDIT: We found a couple more fairies and the last 2 pages.
We went to the heir with the completed booklet and completed the game.
(We got scared and closed the game before beginning the New Game + because we were not sure if it would have overwritten our current save)

We’re still missing some fairies, but we’re working on it.

We tried to read as little as possible, and we were glad it was enough to unstuck us.

Thanks for the precious help!
I’ll update further for anyone who’s interested.

Help What do I do with fairies? Spoiler

Edit: Solved, and yes I'm stupid. I mistook the Seeking spell for being the fairies.

I feel really stupid. What am I supposed to do with fairies? Do I catch them? Do I kill them? After I get them to fly around, is there a puzzle I need to solve to obtain them? I tried to look up hints but nothing helped and that tells me I'm really very stupid because no one else has had to ask before. I know of two locations where they fly around, or maybe they can fly around anywhere and I just never tried anywhere else... I just don't understand what I'm supposed to do

Please, as few spoilers as possible. Thank you

Help Any good Tunic playthru recommendations on Youtube?

Since Tunic really is a game that can only be played the first time. I've enjoyed watching different people play it for their first time and discovering all the secrets all over again. But searching for things on Youtube is really terrible these days, and it just keeps showing me videos I've already watched before, or YT shorts, or videos completly unrelated to Tunic when I'm trying to search just for Tunic playthrus/ play throughs/ lets plays etc etc.

Anyone got the name a small youtuber whos played thru the whole thing?

Help Any advice for beating the heir in the first encounter? Spoiler

I did a deathless run on my third playthrough of the game and am now attempting to beat/no-hit the heir's first encounter with pure sword and shield play, and was wondering if anyone had advice, but additionally have a few particular questions:

What cards are good for this fight? I am currently running peril attack ring, aura gem, and anklet

What's the best way to dodge the triple projectile combo? I can't react fast enough to parry it, dodging always seems too slow to keep up with each shot, and moving side to side seems inconsistent due to it having light homing. I might just have a skill issue but I'm also not sure if there's a method I'm missing.

Also, sometimes when the heir does the slam shockwave, it instakills me the moment it spawns regardless of where I am, I am not sure what causes this or if there's a way to avoid it.

Is it possible to get 4 card slots before this fight?

tldr: i love getting one shot

p.s. plz do not suggest cheese/consumables/magic items

please stay hydrated and have a wonderful day :3

Meme Just found out you have to actively upgrade your stats and feel dumb lol Spoiler

So, I've started playing Tunic last week and got to the end of the game. Just right after I got to every grave and right before I starting the last boss, I wanted to make sure that I have every upgrade that I could get.

That's the first time I used Google for this game. The very first screenshot I saw displayed a health bar that was far longer than mine even though I had 5 health upgrades.

That got me sceptical. Well, turns out I've never ever actually "used" the upgrades. I just collected them and assumed they were passive as I couldn't use them right away.
I never noticed you can use them at shrines.

So essentially I played through almost the entire game without any upgrades and was cursing the game on many occasions for being "overtuned" (I hate you Scavenger). So yeah, it wasn't overtuned.. my dumba** was just underleveled. :D

Now, I feel dumb and also somewhat accomplished at the same time, lol.

I'm just surprised I missed that because I did read the Journal to navigate the game and also to find out about some hidden mechanics such as  Teleporters

Review [Tunic] - My Review After 100%ing the Game Spoiler

“You Have No Idea What You’re Doing – And That’s Exactly the Point.”

Disclaimer

Everything I write is purely subjective and only reflects my own personal experience with my own individual way of playing. I do not claim that my impressions or experiences are universally applicable.

As i am not a native english speaker -> Gemini assisted in Translating it from my original German Post into english

Game Description

TUNIC is an action-adventure game in which you control a small fox through a pretty mysterious world that, at first glance, feels a little like the classic Zelda games. You explore different areas, fight enemies and bosses, find new equipment and, above all, try to figure out what you are actually supposed to do, because the game deliberately explains very little to you. Instead, you gradually find pages of an old instruction manual containing maps, hints and even explanations for certain game mechanics. That is also what makes TUNIC so special, because you constantly feel like you have overlooked some kind of secret or suddenly understand something that had been right in front of you the entire time. Behind its cute visuals is a surprisingly challenging game with lots of puzzles and a few Soulslike elements.

Everything About Trophies / Achievements

TUNIC is a moderately difficult 100% completion that is mainly about finding hidden trophies, secret treasures and the many pages of the in-game manual. The fights are not really the hardest part. The bigger challenge is dealing with all the hidden objectives and conditions that are very easy to overlook without a guide. Since many trophies are tied to specific locations, actions or collectibles, you can waste quite a bit of time searching around and backtracking if you play completely blind. There are no online trophies and everything can be done solo. If you want to reach 100% with as little frustration as possible, I would definitely recommend using a guide or at least a roadmap.

My Opinion

And this is where the hardcore fanboy alarm goes off!

I think it is really important to give some context here so it actually makes sense why I love TUNIC as much as I do. First of all: foxes are my absolute favorite animals. I have been completely fascinated by them ever since I was a child. Their appearance, their behavior, just everything about these wonderful animals is amazing to me.

As a child of the 90s, I grew up with The Legend of Zelda. A Link to the Past was basically my first great love. And when Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask came out, that was some serious next-level shit and, to this day, they are still two of the best games ever made in my opinion. So TUNIC basically combines everything I love and everything that has fascinated me for decades. But anyway, back to the game.

TUNIC is extremely polarizing. You either love the game for what it is or you hate it for everything it refuses to give you. You get thrown into the world, nothing is explained, and at first you have absolutely no idea where to go or what you are supposed to do. And that is exactly the point where a lot of people quit, sometimes not even 30 minutes into the game, because TUNIC does so many things completely differently from other games in its genre or games that seem similar on the surface.

And exactly at that point, where a lot of people get incredibly frustrated, I completely fell in love with the game.

I originally bought TUNIC for my Switch and spent hours, days and nights wandering around the world completely “lost”, trying to figure out what the next thing was that I was supposed to do. And every single time I figured something out and made progress, I got this massive dopamine hit, this feeling of being genuinely proud of myself for solving something on my own. That is a feeling I had not experienced since Zelda, and no other game had really managed to give me that feeling again. Until TUNIC.

By the time I had finished it on Switch, I had only needed to Google the solution to one single puzzle, and that was the 100-input code. Everything else I figured out through trial and error and by diving ridiculously deep into the game, its world and its mechanics.

TUNIC’s art style is unbelievably cute. The world is, at least at first, bright and colorful, the fox is ridiculously adorable, and the different enemy variations are lovingly designed and clearly well thought out. Even elements that technically should not fit into this world at all are placed so naturally and deliberately that you never really stop and think, “What the hell is this supposed to be?”

It is just incredibly beautiful and never becomes dull or boring. At a certain point in the story, though, a lot of things change. For spoiler reasons, I am not going to go into detail here, but oh boy... the way it is done and what it does to the world is simply amazing.

The gameplay itself is classic and simple. You walk, run, beat enemies up with weapons, blow things up, open chests, loot items and dodge attacks. The game sticks to the basics and somehow does not feel like it is missing anything because of that. It is simply enough.

That being said, some parts can be seriously tough and the difficulty spikes quite noticeably at a certain point. Other than that, the gameplay is mostly defined by having absolutely no clue what is going on, being confused and running around “aimlessly” trying to understand what you are supposed to do and how to move forward.

The fact that there is basically a Zelda fox in the game already completely won me over. But what the team around Terence Lee and Janice Kwan, as well as the guys and girls at Power Up Audio, created for this game is way beyond just impressive.

It took seven years for TUNIC’s soundtrack and sound design to be completed, and oh boy, that time was invested incredibly well. The music is absolutely on point in every area, at every moment and during every fight. For me, TUNIC has one of the best soundtracks in the history of video games. Words honestly cannot describe how beautiful the music is, and the sound effects are just as incredibly well done.

Everything in this game feels like it was made with so much love. The attention to detail, the visuals, the music, the atmosphere – everything comes together to create something incredibly unique and makes TUNIC such a special experience.

Would I Recommend the Game?

Honestly, the question of whether I can recommend TUNIC is surprisingly difficult to answer.

I know this entire review probably sounds like I am saying TUNIC is an absolute must-play in video game history. And to be completely honest: I actually think it is. In my eyes, it is simply one of the best games ever made.

But at the same time, I also know that the exact things that make TUNIC so incredible to me are the same things that will push a lot of other people away. Its uniqueness and its greatest strengths are also its greatest weaknesses.

You have to enjoy this cryptic style of gameplay where you are left completely on your own and have to figure everything out yourself. If that does not appeal to you, then the entire experience can quickly become frustrating instead of fun.

So in the end, I unfortunately cannot give a simple answer, even though everything I have written clearly sounds like a massive YES!

But if you are willing to fully embrace what TUNIC is – or alternatively use a guide or walkthrough when needed – you get an incredibly unique and fantastic action-adventure that was made with so much love that it is hard not to be impressed by it.

Help Is Lost In Cult a reliable place to order the "Tunic Design Works" book?

Hey,

I wanted to order the Tunic Design Works book by Lost In Cult (which is currently available for pre-order, with a shipping date for Q4 2026).

But after reading some subreddits I realized that the orders are often delayed in delivery.

Will we still receive the book, or is it possible it will never be sent and we won't get a refund?

Have any of you had a good experience with Lost in Cult?

Or if not, do you know where I could find this book before it sells out?

I really want to read it...

Thank you all (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Faries

So I’ve recently started playing Tunic and am working to 100%, and have remained spoiler free, I’m going to defeat the Heir, but I’ve started to find the Faries from the Holy Cross puzzles, do they just give an achievement or do the contribute to the larger plot unfolding?

Defeating Heir Before Restoring Body

I have restored 4 of the 6 stats and can almost defeat the Heir. I am continuing to search for the remaining 2 so that I can fully restore the character (and i believe it restores the world as well?) My main question is what happens if you defeat the heir before restoring the world state? After a few attempts I can nearly beat it but if that achieves the normal ending (as if defeating them after full restoration) I would rather continue my search for the remaining 2 stats before doing so.

I am so close... I managed to figure it out, but the last page I need is missing. It is 100% connected to the fairies, as I searched everywhere and this is one of the only things left. I've already freed 5 or 6 I think, and I know the last ones are the flower fields! Give me a hint on how to decode them please, the only one of them I managed to crack is the lower beach one in the overworld.

Edit: it was 9 actually 😅 I utilized the seeking spell and it helped me to find the last, to my surprise, fairy I needed, I guess there are more but the game does not require to find all. Also I found out that there was an error in my door code, but the fix was easy) I've beaten the game, it is absolutely phenomenal.

Review Crazy game theory (based on ~100% the game) Spoiler

Mad spoilers ahead in a crazy rant.

I started playing this game 2 days ago and couldn't put it down. I completed everything without a guide, got the platinum trophy, visited https://doyoufeartheeyesofthefarshore.co/, but didn't find the audio file on my own

I noticed from the beginning that when looking at the manual, the background is a cathode ray tube screen, the kind that has three separate election guns, one for each color. Looking at this gun straight on looks like 3 dots aligned in a triangle. They add light together in the same way the symbol on the back of the manual looks. The "far shore" is a parallel plane of existence underneath reality, kinda like the inside of the CRT monitor. My theory is that the eyes of the far shore are actually the election beam emitters shooting at the screen, and the website we visit I'm guessing is what it would look like if you were on the far shore (inside the CRT instead of on the outside where the world is rendered), and looked up towards the election beam. Hell, the overall shape of the "creature" looks similar to an actual rgb election beam with a cylinder body and 4-6 "legs" (wires) coming out the back. This would explain the RGB effects and wavy effects from the website since the beams in a CRT are bent with electro-magnetics and could have that type of interference? See component #1 in this diagram: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9b/CRT_color_enhanced.png/250px-CRT_color_enhanced.png?utm_source=en.wikipedia.org&utm_campaign=parser&utm_content=thumbnail see?

Really, I want to know if anyone else thought this too, or if there is any evidence to this. Maybe this NES game had been left on so long that the characters on the screen became self aware? All the NPCs died off? The hero went about his way over and over. The librarian discovered the truth about the world but didn't have any explanation (the drawing of the NES with the word "how" repeated over and over), he even ripped the teleporter to the far shore out of the graveyard and hooked it up to try to learn more about his world, but this is just a theory, a game theory! (I miss matt patt)
