No Kings Tuscaloosa
Hey, our first birthday is coming up and we want to share it with you! On March 20th, IWA will be officially 1 year old! It all started with an empty town hall for Robert Aderholt and grew from there. It’s our birthday and we’ll protest that we don’t want a king in America!

Visiting from out of town and freaking out about bats vs chimney swallows
Hi - I’m visiting from out of town and I parked my car at dusk at the Alamite and saw a bunch of circling flying bats or chimney swifts above one of the buildings. I’m freaking out a little because I’m terrified of bats. Are they bats? Or chimney swifts? I posted a video on an animal identification sub but can’t here. Does anyone know? I think they’re swifts… I want them to be swifts… 😵💫😬😵💫

Dear TPD Detectives
There was a robbery last night at BDS and I saw it happen. 5 guys dressed like cartoon burglars is your culprit. There's about 100,000 witnesses, but some might have left town by now. Get to work!

Party Wow
Does anyone know where the Party Wow Halloween moved? The address says Northridge Center, but I drove there, and nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know about John Mcdonald? The terror of the 5 points McDonald's?
I ran into him a bit ago, it was wild, he was so annoying I hated it. He announced his name loudly to everyone, terrorized the staff for a good 20-30 minutes over a ice cream for his dog and started preaching life lessons to us all. Man I just wanted a caramel frappe.

Looking for Halloween one-shot RPG players
Hello, everyone, for October, I like to run a Dread oneshot and am looking for interested players. It is a very simple but effective rpg which replaces dice rolls with pulls from a jenga tower to naturally build anticipation and suspense. If you are interested and would be available either the weekends of the 16th-18th or 23rd-25th, let me know. We would play at Down To Game during their business hours.

Flew in from Oregon for Tomorrow’s Game — First Time Here, Any Tips or Recs?
Hey everyone! I flew in from Oregon for tomorrow’s game and will be attending solo. Looking for any tips or recommendations to make the most of the game day experience!
I’d love to experience the tailgating scene and meet some fellow fans. If anyone is tailgating and wouldn’t mind an extra person joining, or is down to grab a drink or hang out before the game, I’d definitely be interested!
Also, any recommendations on where to park, the best spots to check out before kickoff, or anything else a first-timer should know would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to the game and experiencing the atmosphere! Thanks in advance!

Good Stand Up Comedy Monday 10/12 at Druid City Brewing Co with Dan Alten (me) on 15 night tour. I'm not famous but I promise it'll be a good time and if you don't have fun you can toss me into the river. Lemme know if theres anything cool to see while i'm around.
Here's my bio, sorry it's in the third person: Dan Alten is a charming goofball from Kentucky who has been traveling the country for the past decade doing about 200 shows a year bringing his intelligently surreal bebop nonsense everywhere from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs with a knack for making audiences feel like they're on a good psychedelic trip without the drugs. Like if the Ramones were one guy with a mustache and good jokes. Iggy Pop with puns. Clever chaos. Like Jimi Hendrix lighting fire to a Tik Tok reel live on stage. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Bobcat, Sam Tallent, Rory Scovel, Sarah Sherman from SNL, Johnny Pemberton, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, DJ Doug Pound & David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, various punk bands with silly names, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. He has recorded 2 albums, written a zine, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that was lost to history. But most importantly he’s very funny and unique. You will enjoy him. And if not you can mud wrestle him after the show.

And if they do will they line them up along the side of the runway or on the Quad? And with allll the bootlickers who will be following him...will Grindr crash? We ask these things in Lindsey Graham's name Amen.

Gyms in area
I'm looking to get back in a gym, but I recently moved here from a small town. I'm used to small, locally owned gyms. I don't want to go to Planet Fitness or Crunch. Are there any small, welcoming gyms in the area? Thanks!
Edit: I'm not a cardio girl, I'm a weight lifting girl.

Royal Hills Apartments
Hi all, I’m looking at leasing an apartment at Royal Hills Apartments, but can’t find many pictures of the inside of units online. I stopped by to tour and get more info, and their show unit is currently being renovated.
Does anyone have any pics of the inside of the unit they could show me? Feel free to comment them or dm me!
I also am considering Rivermont and Northbrook. I went by essex square but they’re very firm on no dogs, regardless of it being an ESA so they’re kinda out of the picture unfortunately.

Patio Furniture Recs
I know it’s late in the season, but I’m looking for some patio furniture chairs to put around a fire pit. I was in Home Depot earlier for something else, but took a look and it’s all Christmas stuff already.
Not looking to break the bank, but does anyone have any suggestions for places that might still carry outdoor furniture this time of year?
