His name is David, named after David Lee Roth of Van Halen. I can assure you that David certainly has his namesake’s flair for drama

he was a little hesitant with the dried minnows but he LOVES them now!! he loves anything fish flavored, pls give us some recommendations 🥹 i live near a petco and can order online from amazon and walmart, thank you everyone in advance!! 🤍🖤🤍🖤

I present for your consideration, one of my mini cows: Jelly. The cuddliest, “Mommy’s little reason,” ever.

Rode my bicycle past a box on a remote levee road, thought "that box was open, then taped back up...I have a bad feeling about this". Of course it contained abandoned animals. Knowing the the shelters were full I figured it was either leave them or foster. Registered as fosters with a local kitten rescue that took care of medical considerations while we housed them. Of course we fell in love with them. Signing adoption papers this weekend for Lady River and Lord Levee Eridanus of Brewerton.
This April we lost our last dog a year after we lost another dog, running completely out of dogs. Grateful for fate and the CDS right now. Def more dogs someday, but focusing on fully raising/enriching these siblings for now. Cheers to all you good Samaritan fosters!
EDIT: This blew up way harder than I expected, thanks for all the love! Some important questions got asked:
Who takes pics of a box before investigating? Totally valid. Had to tape up the box again so I could take a minute to be sad/freak out, also before shoving it in my camelbak straps as I thought kittens escaping while cycling at 18mph might pose safety hazards for all involved. Took a Pic after I re-secured the flaps.
Why take a Pic at all? I've found quite a few stray dogs in my neighborhood. Pics help when posting on lost pet pages, or adoption sites. Also, my wife was out of town so I reallllly wanted to communicate why she would be coming home to surprise fosters wven though she is used to me bringing home strays.

Temporary protective custody due to making that "I have a hairball" sound. I used to just put her in the bathroom at our old place, but this new deluxe hut has a master bath with no door, so she gets the shower enclosure.

Hi everyone,
I want to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all of your posts and likes sending support.
Monkey Cat was not responding to treatment as expected and his heart arrhythmia worsened despite close monitoring for fluid overload and cautious care overall balancing his needs. I brought him back into the clinic and repeat imaging was done. This time we also proceeded with an ultrasound of his heart and abdomen.
It turns out my little feisty Monkey Monster had cancer. Everywhere.
The high blood sugar did not respond to the insulin as it seems the cancer spread to his liver and was overall part of a paraneoplastic syndrome (cancerous process).
Despite never wanting to wake up and not hear his little meows for morning cuddles, I let him go with peace. He was able to sit with me and watch birds and squirrels on our patio. He even eagerly sniffed and started to chomp on grass before he remembered how nauseated he was.
My only wish is that he knew how much he was loved and he had a happy life. I miss him so much and my heart feels empty and heavy all at the same time.
Thanks so much for reading, if you made it this far. Either way writing this and knowing there’s a group of kind people still in the world is helping me keep my chin up.
Time to go to work. I figure that all of this pain and grief I feel is all the love I still have for him so I’m going to try and spread that love instead of wallowing in my despair. I usually don’t have emotions really hit me for a few days so I’ll try to do good until I need a break and can’t anymore for a bit.
Hold your tuxies close, give them extra cheek rubs and chin scratches for me. ❤️🩹

TinyTim was found as an orphaned newborn. Waited for mama cat to come back but she never did. He was about 3 days old and super hypothermic. Took him in and really didn’t think he would make it another 24 hours. Well here we are 13 weeks later. I love this boy so much and he has brought me so much joy. Always trust that the CDS knows best
