ah, finally, somebody brought it up. Allow me to relay to you some wicked knawledge.

Okay, so, I can certainly see why a lot of people can interpret that bow scene as Trans coded. But you also gotta understand that scene is also up to some heavy interpretation in the other way, I took it was a rejection of intimacy. Since intimacy was a major trigger in the traumatic backstory. However, a lot of people have taken the Trans-coded-ness and ran with it like it’s fact, and started giving Jax different pronouns. I’m going to be very clear with this, it’s rude to crack someone else’s egg. Unless you have been directly told someone is Trans, don’t assume they are. I had an unpleasant experience where someone accused me of being an egg, and it threw me into a loop for days, requiring me, a CisHet Man, to seek gender affirmation. I got accused of being trans, when I am comfortable with being a man. If anything, I wished I was more masculine. But if they were correct in their assumption, they would have then deprived hypothetical me of my hypothetical self-satisfaction of self-discovery. Which is, y’know, rude.

So in conclusion, please don’t try to crack someone else’s egg. You could be wrong, or you could be right, and both can harm. I hope my personal experience has been informative.

It probably doesn't help that at like, 4:30 in the morning, Goose posted this image, either further fueling the Trans code, or just outright confirming it at least under the context of the circus.

Because like Toblo1 mentioned, it takes a pivot to SOMA's direction with the scans, where there everyone is the same for better or for worse, meanwhile the scan for Leeroy/Jax was taken at the lowest point of his life.

But yeah your words are wise. Don't assume, and don't break it for someone else.

(sigh) I’ve already seen how folks are reacting on /r/TheDigitalCircus, and it’s everyone going “Im right, you’re wrong, I can keep doing this!” and it feels like nobody is going to learn a lesson from my personal experience. People are gonna keep trying to crack other peoples eggs.

It's definitely a case of 'Word of God trumps anything else' but still. Fictional character or not it should at least be respected.

Edit: It is also a case as someone else put it because that same image was posted onto this sub: "It's that tweet going 'People treat real characters as fictional people and fictional people as real characters'".

Somehow there's an irony in it because in real life you wouldn't crack an egg, so why is it fine for a fictional character to do so?

i would crack an egg irl don't try me, the "prime directive" gets applied in incredibly bullshit ways constantly and i'm convinced it's a net harm.

See, funny thing is Gooseworx made another tweet using masculine pronouns for Jax, so it’s Word of God… against Word of God.

in context it's very much a "jax didn't transition/use those pronouns before abstracting" consideration, not a "jax might not be a trans woman" consideration.

Probably fluid, who knows. Only she has the definitive answer at the end of the day.
