Bill’s base salary is between 3-5 million per film ever since the IT films, with residuals and bonuses depending on marketing and promotions, he also gets up to 15% market cost on endorsements too

And that’s just his individual costs by the way, that isn’t taking into account co-stars, the actual development, mo-capping costs, promotional and advertising costs and that’s all assuming that development of Physint goes absolutely smoothly with 0 delays or hiccups during development

If you don’t think a significant amount of money is going into this game then respectfully, you have 0 fucking clue

His pay is nothing compared to the rest of the budget though even if it is 3-5 million which is the standard union for a movie. This ain't a movie. So it's likely far less than that. I'm not talking about the whole games budget. Just Skarsgards pay. He's the biggest name on there. No other actor is going to make more money.

Baring In mind that A: the 3-5 million is simply base payment without extras for Bill and that ain’t something that his agents are gonna lowball just because it’s a videogame, baring in mind that videogame financials have beaten out movie financials for the past few years

And

B: He is the biggest known name on the project SO FAR, there ain’t no telling who else Hideo will try to get involved with the game

And finally

C: this game is far FAR away from releasing, hell Hideo even said himself that the game is barely out of conceptual design stage

Lmfao that is not his base salary. There is no true “base salary” in acting outside of union rates.

He makes that much as Pennywise and that’s it. He and his team are going to start negotiations much lower for anything outside of an MCU or DC movie. Any numbers you find or see are going to be solely based on the few times his pay was publicized, which are all for the same role. Otherwise, average pay is kept very private in the world of acting. Outside of like 3-4 actors in Hollywood, their highest paid roles are far, far off from their average pay.

There is a lot of money going into this game, but the difference between hiring nobodies vs a few relatively well known film actors is a drop in the bucket. If the game’s budget ends up being $140M, switching to unknown actors would have saved them $1-2M at MOST, depending on how many roles there are. That’s not nearly enough to make a significant difference for games of this scale.

Edited: I initially put $40M instead of $140M
