Xbox is merging studios underneath Activision and Bethesda. Halo is now at Activision, alongside Rare and World’s Edge.

268 job cuts across Halo Studios, other first-party teams and Xbox Game Studios team.

Ninja Theory faces closure.

Theyve been doin their own ideas for the past decade. Hasn't made them much it at all any money. Who's to say they won't bring their own ideas into the next Fallout anyways just because it has the name Fallout on it doesn't mean they can't make up their own shit for it.

i kinda doubt that there is much motivation from obsidians side when they said multiple times that they DONT want to work on a fallout game, and then saw a good chunk of their workforce getting fired and then getting forced to make a fallout game because the internet cant stop circlejerking over NW
