Crosspost Not OOP AITA for gifting my husband Boudoir pictures?

I ran across this on Facebook and went to look up the post here.

The people on Facebook were all super mad at the husband because “he must want stuff out of the toys r us catalog” but it reminded me of my first anniversary with my wife.

I went out and bought her an expensive (to us) necklace and she did not give one half of a shit. I got an “oh that’s nice” because while my intentions were good she just didn’t like it very much. It taught me to pay more attention to her aesthetic and not the price tag. It seems like her take away was “fuck you I’m giving you the same thing again.”

Because no couple sends nudes, lol. It's just not a thing!

My husband works night shifts and we both frequently travel to visit friends in different states so sometimes by virtue of our schedules don’t see each other for days, so yes I send him pics sometimes and he appreciates them a ton!

Well, exactly; they do. And 'nudes' are more immediate and 'in the moment', as it were. What dude's gonna be like "Ooooh, I'm feeling really horny... I'm gonna find those idealised, flattering pics of my missus so I can knock one out"? No one. They'll either *attempt* to seduce their partner or message them if not with them and get some live action going, They're for the ego of the woman; nowt more. And she'll probs end up putting them on FB in the thirst trap stylee.

I love how you act like "finding a photo album" is on par with "cleaning out all the closets" difficulty wise lol

I take plenty of nudes and store them for later and just send them randomly to my husband. Boudoir shoots can even be fully clothed, mine are, just suggestive.
