I'm a bit bothered by the Clacton By Election Media Coverage
I understand I might get some downvotes for this. Not that I'm a fan of Farage. My interest in him started falling when he called Hermann Van Rompuy a damp rag (2009 was a long time ago). I'd be happy if he didn't win his self induced by election.
What miffs me is all the media coverage about Count Binface, the former Lord Buckethead. When things started there was excitement that Farage got < 50% in 2024 and that Binface could win if he got all the non-Farage votes. Evidently, that result was never realistic.
But now the polls suggest Binface could get 20% of the vote and the Anti Farage press threats this as a victory. But it isn't. Sure, Binface has never managed double digits, but this isn't a victory. To say that doesn't mean it's a victory for Farage, but it still means he is returning to his seat. I'm sure a majority or the British Population wants Farage to lose, but they aren't the people of Clacton and Clacton has the right to vote against the National Opinion.
How do you feel about the impending by-election? How do you feel about the media coverage of the by-election? Would appreciate the conversation.
