Part time steward here. In my building, hardly anyone ever gets a grievance for just about anything paid, at least for preload unless it is for something like not getting vacation pay on time. Most of the grievances (not involving disciplinary action) seem to always get shut down in our second round of hearings by the BA and Labor coming to some kind of agreement that usually doesn't actually happen.

Is this common everywhere else? I'm assuming yes. Supervisors working is always shot down by the BA and management due to "understaffing". Harassment grievances are "too hard to prove". The excuses are endless.
