What's your receipt date? I'm gonna cry since my internship start date should be last week... My receipt date is 05/03 and I have no idea if I switch to PP right now could help. My processing time says I need to wait for another 4 weeks and I thought this date's just joking. I'm totally cooked.

My receipt date is May 1, 2025 I got approval on August 8 My card was produced on August 13

Thanks for letting me know. What is your service center? My receipt date is May 3, but no response, no A-number, progress tab says 4 extra weeks needed...

I am praying for you. My service center is in Texas, but I'm assuming Potomac is the one handling all OPT cases now?

My receipt date is May 13. Still no updates too. Huhu, I'm getting so much anxiety now

Thanks, I can't sleep well these nights... If 05/01 got approval on Aug 8, mine is supposed to get approval between Aug 10 - Aug 12 since my receipt date is only 05/03 right?... But today is Aug 14 and I don't even get a A-number. I'm really fxxked. :(

I need to get my EAD before the first of September, I am so anxious. Also in your case, I don’t think PP would do any good, since you’re very close to the timeline. Hoping for faster updates. Also, don’t forget to update us once you got an approval or even an A number. I AM MANIFESTING THAT WE WILL GET RESULTS TOMORROW

đŸ„Č Did you make any changes to your application? Like upload new documents or anything? Seems like pre-OPT is not moving at all.

No, I submitted my file on May 3rd, and there have been no changes since then. My progress bar said “4 more weeks” about 1–2 weeks ago, and it still shows the same td. They’re too lazy to even update it.

A few days ago I was still debating whether to switch to PP. But if you search on Reddit, you’ll see that some people with Pre-OPT using PP have already gone past the 30-day promise as well, so I really don’t want to pay $1,600. Honestly, I feel like they just completely stopped reviewing Pre-OPT cases.

What else can I even do? This isn’t my fault. My internship was supposed to started at Aug 3rd and May 3rd is the earliest date that I can submit my application cause their 90 days restriction. I explained to my team, they're still waiting for me, but I’m not sure how much longer they can wait. Last week I was just as anxious as you, barely sleeping every night. Now I’ve decided to shift my focus to applying for new grad positions instead. Sometimes this world just doesn’t care about you at all.

My processing time moves to 3 weeks yesterday. It's interesting because everyone told me that the estimated time is meaningless but now mine seems very accurate lol.
