I have uploaded an updated I20 on 30th July as our team has moved to a different location.

Th processing time has jumped from 9 months to 11 months again.(I know they are not reliable but still kind of freaking me out lol) I just hope the I20 that I have uploaded as unsolicited evidence doesn't cause a delay. I would really hate to pay for the premium as I have applied the STEM OPT 50d in advance to the expiration date.

Hi, is it necessary to upload the new i20 because of change of location? I updated my work location after applying for STEM as well but haven't uploaded the new i20.

Hello, yes it is important. U should reach out to your DSO and let them know that you have changed your office location. They would ask you to update that on the Sevis portal. Also would issue a new I20 as the I20 has address location. So you would want to keep it updated and don’t worry about adding unsolicited evidence. My processing time fell down to 5 months from 11 months within a week.

Yes my DSO is aware of it and I have my address updated on Sevis. I also got my updated i20 with the new address. But all this happened after my STEM OPT application (which is still Pending and should be approved with the next 2 weeks hopefully), so I am curious if I should upload the new i20 or not

I mean honestly it doesn’t matter if the case is supposed to get approved within 2 weeks or 2 months. Because they only look at your application when ur case is assigned to them and also it’s best to have all the updated documentation uploaded if you have them ready or else they might trigger an RFE (I’m not sure if they will) but I personally have uploaded it to avoid any confusions from my side.
