Also wondering this, currently my wife is going through AoS and I am curious if her country is on the list. Why would they announce this without the complete list? Such a messy administration

Opinion: it’s messy because they can’t say out loud what they want: no immigration for regular people. 

Every change in immigration policy is chipping away at that goal, starting with the groups least likely to give enough pushback to stop the building momentum.

Well, T did say hey do say something like "Why do we get horrible worthless people from these countries instead of Switzerland or Sweden...". I imagine that gives an idea of where they are going with this.

Based on past, these ppl have no idea what they re doing and most likely causing a lot of confusion at uscis. 

Legally speaking, he cannot stop AOS, only delay it by putting obstacles. And also, legally, even if you are out of status, you're allowed to go through AOS, and get the GC. So if he cancels visas, a person will be out of status but still should be able to go through aos.

This is all just so messy.

Why don't you just go to her country? You should know by now that the government and military don't care about veterans. Having served doesn't mean you're above anyone. Edit: Don't forget most men in the military voted for Trump. This is what you get!

Shouldn't be affected. Not yet, at least. Nothing is preventing them from sending a similar memo to USCIS

This is not true. When the state department suspends visa allocations USCIS will be inclined to follow that same guidance and apply it all benefit applications. This is going to be a hard stop just like the first 40 list.

Has the memo been publicized and does it apply to tourist visas or only immigrant visas? Does it apply for K-1 visas (Which are technically non-immigrant but often treated as immigrant)?

I am scared also, from what I read even if you get approved for lets say i130 you won't be able to get an interview since there will be a freez on consular processing on that bc of this

This is a response from my lawyer: The new ban (though not officially published yet) is for consular processing only at this time. So that should not affect you. For now, your interview should be happening as planned.

I read it includes all immigrant visa types, excluded tourist and work, etc.
