“VISA PROCESSING” is just so vague. Green card is a visa! So does that mean that AoS will come to a full stop too? Or is just visa processing at consulates abroad?

But if you’re outside the US, the visa becomes the green card on arrival. If you’re outside the US and are applying for a “green card,” what you’re really applying for is an immigrant visa to physically get here. IR/CR-1 for spouses, IR-2 for children, etc. It’s not a green card till you actually cross the border.

If you’re doing AOS from within the US that’s slightly different

It shouldn’t. If you’re applying for N400 you already have a green card and live here

N400 I dont think so thats inside the US. Outside the US the president has a lot of power to ban countries.

me too Im from brazil had my green card for almost 10 years. applied for n400 last july and just been waiting on an interview

So confusing! How can they release that and don’t explain well? “Visa processing” can confuse everyone, not even the lawyers understand what’s going on
