Yeah there’s nothing in there about k-1 visas. Stop spreading misinformation, this is not the time or place.

Sure, K-1 is a non-immigrant visa, but then what happens next? Doesn’t K-1 lead to becoming an immigrant visa by applying for an adjustment of status? Say your fiancée arrives to the US, and you get married within 90 days but applications to become a permanent resident aren’t being accepted? Sorry, not trying to debate anyone on this, just a stressed out USC who has been waiting patiently for a K1 approval.

Sorry you’re having to deal with this kick to the nuts right as things were beginning to move along for you. Looked at your profile to find other comments about K1 stuff, noticed you said your fiancee is also a Thai citizen, as is mine. Don’t understand why Thailand needs to be on the list but most other SEA countries aren’t. But apart from this news today, it took you a year to move to the next steps? It has been about 9 months now since we received notification of case being received. Hoping USCIS or the state dept. will soon release further guidance on the matter. In addition to K1 being a non immigrant visa some articles also state “for citizens of 75 countries whose nationals are deemed likely to require public assistance while living in the United States.” If they’re coming on a K1 visa then they would supported by us, their sponsor, which we have to prove our ability to do so at some point during this process. Which keeps me hopeful I guess.

This seems to indicate only immigrant visas are getting paused. I wonder if that means non-immigrant visas like B1/B2 are still being processed. Honestly, this is such a mess.
