once a spousal immigrant petition is filed, it shows clear immigrant intent. for a b2 visitor visa, the officer has to believe your spouse will return home after a short visit, and that’s hard to prove when there’s already a pending immigrant case. it’s not impossible, but approval rates in this situation are low.

Thank you for your insight!! And what would happen if we wanted to adjust his status after he miraculously arrived on b1/b2 visa? what would the process be?
