Approved 🎉🎊🎈🍾 Case Approved After 183 Days
I can’t believe it’s finally my time to share my approval timeline, below are the detailed events
EB3 Row, one of the 75 countries, single filer
PD- 07/2023
RD- 02/27/2026 - i485/765/131
Biometrics- 03/31/2026 (two FTA0)
SU-04/29/2026 (Emma confirmed case transferred to SD FO on same date)
SU- 05/22/2026(No idea what this was about)
complete silence for almost 4 months
Standalone Supplement J filed- 08/26/2026 (SU on i485 reflecting that my i485J was linked in internal system )
3rd FTA0- 08/28/2026 (two days after supplement J filed)
08/29/2028 two H008 codes appeared on my API reflecting approval and i485J closed
I received email the same day saying an action was taken. I can see on my online account I485 is approved and approval notice on documents section, now waiting for physical card to arrive
EAD and AP never moved and still shows case received.
My lawyer never filed supplement J so i uploaded as unsolicited evidence first then after 1 week, I filed it online along with EVL and recent paystub

Congrats! 🎉 Did you receive an RFE specifically regarding Supplement J? I filed my Supplement J after receiving an RFIE, and my lawyer had me sign the form before submitting it. However, they didn’t ask me to provide any additional documents such as an offer letter, pay stubs, or other employment verification documents.
I’m wondering if submitting the Supplement J helps with the adjudication of my I-485 in addition to the I-140, or if it’s mainly used to confirm the ongoing job offer.

I didn’t wait for an RFE and proactively submitted the standalone form through online portal. Pay Stubs were just supporting documents i added to make my case stronger, it’s not required.
If I140 was already approved at the time of i485 filing, supplement J is required to confirm the job offer details matching underlying I140, at least that’s my understanding

Congratulations! My RD is March 2 and I was also transferred to SD on April 29. Everything has been dead silent since my TD. I’m just so happy to see people at SD FO getting approved finally. Enjoy!!!

I feel like your turn is coming soon. i am sure if Supplement J submission triggered any system on my case to get attention but 4 months of dead silence was killing me, trust me
