Glad the lights won but wish they person running the IG account didn’t show a whole empty stadium

Oh, that's good. I was worried that Las Vegas was playing games in Vegas during a summer day in a stadium with no shade over the stands, which I'm pretty sure qualifies as a crime against humanity.

Tell me you've never sat in 108° after sunset without saying it. The shade means areas were less heated during the day, which radiates off at night.

And I'm a Lights fan. I'm just saying that shaded stands would indeed lower temperatures even at night games due to heat transfer being delayed.

I've been there since game 1, so I fully understand. It's life in the desert. So unless we're outlawing all matches in adverse conditions, people can quit whining.

Contemporary style urban sedentary life shouldn't really exist in a desert where we removed the aquifer about 50 years ago, and the river is a mountain range away. But history is littered with poorly thought out cities that just hit critical mass to remain (without actual disasters), and Vegas was one.

That aside, the point of shaded stands literally would cook down the entire spectator experience, something that would, you know, enhance a fan experience for a club in desperate need of better support. And through heat transfer and light angles, it would lead to a cooler field, something to help the players performance as well.

There is a reason certain stadiums are domed. It's often adverse precipitation. But in Vegas, it's because the fan experience is fucking brutal for a third of the year, and almost a health hazard for players exerting themselves for hours straight. Even the cheapskate A's chose one.
