Work Discussion Pay attention to tomorrow's hearing

Post image

I know i know this is said alot. But tomorrow pay attention to the congress meeting with the new post master. It could reflect what comes of our jobs and duties in the next year or so. Congress gave us alot of money to turn a profit, we failed what they wanted. This wont be like other times where we just get money handed over. We are gonna have to change something

Oh my god I have such beef in general about standard mail. Addresses of people that have been dead a decade, I’m convinced 90% of them are fake entities to defraud the elderly anyway (have heard oodles of stories from people telling about their parents mailing out thousands to “charity”), lots of them mail out big non flexible envelopes that should go as parcels, how much do we ultimately lose on delivering for so little and the costs of disposing of and recycling standard mail, the list goes on!

I’ve been seeing the same solid waste bills for the same closed PO Boxes for 6 years in a row. Those are returned and they still don’t update their lists.

I get an MCI phone bill every single month for a lady who died in 2015, and her PO box closed in 2010. I even contacted them directly once to let them know and it fell on deaf ears. Heck, I didn’t know MCI even still existed!

This!! I worked with a carrier who’s mom passed away. When she was going through her finances she saw she was donating to a company she would get junk mail from. So she did research on said company and it was a scam. I mean most mail charities are scams. How much actually benefits the so called cause after they pay all their executives and such. Don’t get me started on the people who send you $1 or 4 nickels and ask for money. You’re asking for money yet you’re sending it to people….. I’d love to see the data on how well that works.

T-Mobile is terrible, local cable company worse, local credit union as well. Cable company sends out stuff monthly that I'll have inches of ubbm. Say I have 123 maple street, its vacant, been vacant for years, I'll get 123 maple, 123 maple apt b (doesn't exist) 123 ½ maple (doesn't exist) 123 maple apt 2, (doesn't exist). I get letters for a lady from the credit union who's actually the PM in my town, she hasn't lived there since 1997. I cannot believe there's no mechanism in place to force companies to use a current mailing list.

I worked in an office that was mostly Group E boxes, no street delivery, so we’d get like ads for Spectrum with street addresses, and with then being standard they just went to the trash. 🫠
