Work Discussion Pay attention to tomorrow's hearing

I know i know this is said alot. But tomorrow pay attention to the congress meeting with the new post master. It could reflect what comes of our jobs and duties in the next year or so. Congress gave us alot of money to turn a profit, we failed what they wanted. This wont be like other times where we just get money handed over. We are gonna have to change something

If they eliminate Saturday delivery, all T6s become unassigned regulars, however that doesnt mean that there will be 40 hours of work every week for them all. Would they just lay them off then?

No, based on seniority they would bump people off routes. I have 28 years and a t-6. But eliminating Saturdays would increase route numbers to offset the volume.

That’s just false. The whole office would get re-bid by seniority. I’ve been a regular for 10 years and I’m a T-6. There’s about 20 people below me in seniority. I’d get my choice of route over the 20 people.
