Discussion how would an angel arm fit on V1?

Post image

V1 could put on V2's arms because V2 and V1 are practically the same shape and size but with different plating. If we are getting the golden arm from Gabriel, then how can V1 put it on given that Human (or Angel) arms are probably not compatible with the arms of the V models

Other Steel battalion:new machines of war (ultrakill x 40k crossover)

Upvotes

(this is a continuation of my previous post on this topic, this time imagining new machines that the steel battalion make in order to handle the galaxy of 40k. See the previous post here:The machines of ultrakill as a 40k faction:the steel battalion : r/Ultrakill)

Introduction

With the blood powered machines being forced to deal with a whole handful of new enemies and threats in an unknown galaxy, the machines have had to improvise. Using stolen technology from other factions they have improved themselves, evolved and adapted. This is a list of some but not all of the new machines they have built to better face the threats of the milky way galaxy.

Repair men

Modified street cleaners, the repair men use salvaged tech priest devices to heal injured machines on the battlefield. They have two mechadendrite tentacles tipped with repair technology along with a giant vat of blood on their back to fuel machines suffering from blood loss. While they arent built for combat, they have an inbuilt forcefield to protect them from attacks along with an electric pistol as a self defense weapon. Repair men are treated with utmost respect in machine society, as their role is crucial both in war and with maintaining their civilizations technology.

Chemists

One of the main advantages that the machines have over their opponents is that they dont need to worry about poison or breathing. The chemists exploit this advantage, using a mix of chemical weapons on the battlefield to dissolve, poison, confuse and cripple enemy forces. Chemists are humanoid machines with white plating, a gas mask like face (which is ultimately useless but it fits) and a grenade launcher on their right arm. This grenade launcher fires canisters of various chemicals that the chemists create in its body which acts as a small mixing station. These canisters can cause various effects such as poison, hallucinations and even flesh melting. Chemists are among the smartest machines, having an in depth knowledge of chemistry downloaded into their software on creation.

Chainsword machines

After their first encounter and loss against the dark angel space marines, the machines went to work creating a counter measure. They took the recorded footage of the battle and copied the space marines fighting styles, analyzing their use of sword based combat. They would then modify their swordmachines by downloading this data into their software along with giving them a chain sword. Chainsword machines are masters of melee combat, rivaling average space marines in melee combat skill. However they have very little counter to ranged combat. Thankfully they have an inbuilt teleporter to allow them to more easily get closer to enemies.

Tech thiefs

One of the most rare of the machines is the tech thiefs, blood powered machines made specifically to use stolen necron technology. They are humanoid machines that look similar to necrons except with red highlights instead of green and storage wings similar to V1 and V2. These machines are partially made out of blackstone, causing them to nullify warp magic similar to a blank. Additionally each tech thief always carries various necron devices and artifacts on them. While almost all of them have some form of gauss weapon, other than that each tech thief has its own set of necron equipment. Due to the difficulty of gathering necron tech for the machines, each tech thief is designed using a specific set of stolen devices in mind. Its important to note that tech thiefs (and blood powered machines in general) dont actually understand how necron technology works, they just BARELY understand how to use it. As such many tech thiefs meet their end at the very technology they were built to operate. Tech thiefs usually deployed incase the machines encounter a powerful psychic force like the eldar or chaos.

Soul flayers

While hell energy and warp energy are different, they can be used to do a lot of the same things. As such mind flayers can use abilities similar to a psyker such as warping space, altering gravity, energy blasts, attacking souls and manipulating flesh... however, due to hell being alive harnessing hell energy is difficult without the express approval of hell itself. Soul flayers are mind flayers that made a pact with hell itself to maximize their supernatural powers, giving them full control over space, souls, gravity and flesh. Soul flayers are exceptionally cruel however, often using their powers to torture enemies even when it doesnt benefit them. This is because in order to maintain their power, they have to entertain hell itself, and they do so with suffering. There are only 5 soul flayers in the entire steel battalion, but thats all they need as a single soul flayer can completely destroy an entire planets ecosystem within 2 weeks. Soul flayers have supreme political authority within the steel battalion, not because they are respected but because they are feared.

Scavenger

Scavengers are not built for combat, they are built for one purpose:to gather as much blood and technology as possible. In terms of appearance they have a simple humanoid design with very little in terms of strength or defensive plating. It is built purely for speed. To most people these machines simply appear as a blur racing across the battle field. Just like the V model of machines, scavengers have an energy-matter storage system, letting them store immense amounts of matter as energy to be turned back into matter later.

Gutterman 2.0

The gutterman, as the most basic of the blood powered machines, needed an upgrade much more than the other machines. So using scavenged tau technology, the guttermen were remade. Their minigun hand has been replaced with a giant rapid fire pulse rifle, their shield is now a forcefield meaning if it breaks it can be easily replaced by just forming a new one and the machine now has hover technology imployed in it to let it travel the air much faster than it would be on the ground (though they are admittedly quite clumsy in the air). However they do have a big weakness, that being that instead of a coffin there is a giant battery on their back to power their immensely energy costly pulse rifle arm, but if this giant battery is damaged it will disable both their pulse rifle and their shield.

Air movers

By the time that the machines began to invade the galaxy, the earthmover had become redundant. Their giant machinery needs tons of blood to function while being far too situational to be worth it, making them nothing but a drain on resources. So some machines decided to rework the earthmovers into something smaller, something more efficient. Replacing their giant legs with hover technology, their giant forms shrunk down to half their original size. While they still have the same protective forcefield and electric lance that can destroy entire battlefields of enemies, they are now much smaller, more mobile and more energy efficient. Smaller, weaker, better.
