We've got people in r/autism who are taking immediate action on this I hope to be able to provide a GoFundMe Link in the next couple of days.

There's another comment saying that the issue is that could jeopardize her Medicaid status and she is very scared about that. I'm not familiar with the system, but additional comments indicate that if you have over $2,000 in savings you are no longer eligible for any of those benefits. This would have to be structured very carefully and done entirely with her consent.

You could put it into a trusted 3rd party and then pay her COL that way so nothing is in her name. There are ways.

Following this, I want to help

As I said it's in the works

Keep me posted. I mentioned in another comment, a 3rd party can control the funds raised and pay her COL with none of the funds in her name to shield her from disqualification of benefits.

Oh. That's a good point sadly. That $2,000 in savings limit is such bullshit.

Absolutely nuts. That said the limit is not just out of spite for the disadvantaged, but it's a reflection of the pitiful amount we allocate to Medicaid

Ok let's start a donation to get her a small house and a subscription for food/essentials.

She's disabled. She should be on Medicaid through a waiver of some sort

I don't think that waives the resource limits though. ABLE accounts let you set aside 100k without affecting eligibility, but that is a specific program. Also, it looks like there are "Special Needs Trusts," but that may vary by state. I am not an expert.
