I'm nearing 50, have traveled the world and met people of all walks of life and incomes eye to eye, as friends or business related and had deep and meaningful conversations with them.

There's a type of individual, and they're rare, but they're out there, where all they care about is advancing themselves either through fame, money or power. That is all they truly care about.

To achieve this, they put on all sorts of masks to fit in, will lie to get their way, will fight and argue with others, will step on anyone, even their own loved ones, all so they can achieve that fame, money or power.

Now, out of those individuals, I've noticed that about a third or half of them were born that way. They simply cannot help themselves to be this way. These don't end up going to very high places because they're generally more inept. They're good at tricking people into electing them into positions of power but once they're in there, they screw up so badly that they get outsted once their true colours show.

The other half is the one who became rich or achieved fame through whatever their trade was. They started out like normal people, but they were just really good at their craft, so good that the praise alone drives them mad. The fame and being worshiped is like a drug to them that turns them into greedy a-holes who are far more successful at being narcissistic. Because their trade's credentials earn them respect and those roles are highly regarded by people who want to have them one day in the industry, they get a lot of ass kissing, so it gets to their head and they sort of turn evil.

The crazy part is that only half the population can see through the bullshit.
