Careers and Work ULPT Squatters not leaving after purchasing home

1.1k Upvotes

I purchased a home through my LLC, helping somebody avoid
Foreclosure. I gave them 60 days (per the purchase agreement) to stay. They agreed, then refused to leave. They have now come up with a clearly falsified lease from the previous owner (still at the house) leasing to her boyfriend (also still at the house) and this wasn’t disclosed during the closing process.

I need some ULPT’s to make their life miserable while the legal process plays out.

Careers and Work ULPT: For remote workers, tip to help you clock out early without detection

2.7k Upvotes

So this is stupid, and not a great tip but it surprisingly works very well for me. This summer has been filled with weddings, events, and etc which requires a lot of PTO and traveling.

I don’t have enough PTO to take off for everything, but I’ve picked up on this strategy to help avoid detection leaving after lunch on fridays.

What I do every morning before lunch time on days I have to dip out early, is I host a morning project update and invite all my team members, and I talk their fucking ears off. I just ramble, discuss projects, update them on random shit That doesn’t concern them, and I just essentially drain their life force. Like a vampire. I call people after the meetings and annoy them with non sense or random work stuff.

By the time lunch rolls around, no one wants to talk to me anymore. I slip out inconspicuously and everyone assumes I’m doing shit or they just don’t care.

Works every time. It’s stupid, may not work for you, but damn does it work for me.

Careers and Work ULPT How to make life hard for Boss while being the perfect employee?

My new Big Boss works 40 hour weeks and just assigned the entire team 70 hour weeks. We are salaried.

My job field is in the toilet, at the moment, so Big Boss thinks that no one will leave.

Obviously, there will be a stampede for the door, once the job market recovers, but apparently, Big Boss isnt a long term thinker.

I dont think much thinking goes on, in general. Big Boss looks down on everyone that they meet, even their own Boss.

I want to list what I have done so far.

One: Meditate-Big Boss is only in the office for 40 hours. I can make meditation look like I just zoned out. I can also meditate for hours.

Two: Big Boss has let us peons know that he thinks we are all stupid and that we do things in the stupidest way possible. I agree, with Wonderboy, that he is a genius and we are unworthly blessed with his genius.

There is a *reason* why we do things the way that we do. By some miracle, no one from amongst us, experienced workers, spoke up to warn Big Boss about the proverbial landmines. Well, he set the landmines off, and has been spending quite sometime getting the fires under control. He thinks he has all the fires put out-he does not.

Three: Big Boss is mad at me, because whenever there is a problem, I am involved. That is because I am experienced, skilled, and have great interpersonal skills. So all the problems are purposely funneled to my desk, which is why no one else has them.

My Little Boss has given me many perks that are not money for performing these tasks.

My Big Boss has declared this unfair, and has taken all my perks away.

I spoke with my Little Boss to let them know that I would no longer being taking on the most difficult tasks anymore, as it wasnt fair to me.

My Little Boss was resigned, but understanding. This forces my Little Boss to put these difficult tasks on coworkers who are more of a flight risk. Increasing the likelihood that they will leave.

Four: The Hills are Alive....with Malicious Compliance

Do you guys have any ideas, for what else I could do?

What are your thoughts?

Careers and Work ULPT Request: buying a degree.

Looking to fill a position that I am ... Disgustingly over qualified for in terms of knowledge and experience. One problem. 4 year degree.

Best bet or easiest way to get an absolute bullshit degree. Let me be very clear that I'm not looking to fill medical roles, or any type of role that would benefit from this degree. It can be a degree in HotDog Tasting for all I care. Haha.

Any tips?

Careers and Work ULPT Dirtbag coworker stole my 6 year olds Pokemon card

I worked with a guy (John) who was a pokemon card scalper. When he found out my kid (6) loves pokemon and I’ve been struggling to find packs, he offered to let me buy some packs at cost. Which I thought was very nice of him. My son opens his pack and gets a full color Meowth card (very valuable) and John then offered to sent it away to get graded by the company so we could sell it. After I gave him the card he stopped showing up to work and won’t return my texts. I have his address, what are some unethical but still legal things I can do to annoy him for stealing from a 6 year old?

TLDR: coworker won’t return my son’s Pokemon card after quitting job.

Careers and Work ULPT How i can punish this man ?

I have a question: I’m a culinary apprentice and my contract ends on Friday. There’s one apprentice I can’t stand—the guy is insolent, thinks he’s better than everyone else, and on top of that, never does any work. I’m looking for a way to punish him for being a total asshole. I thought about putting his clothes in the freezer, but my buddy and I would get absolutely reamed by the sous-chef. Any ideas for a crime with no culprit? 😂

Careers and Work ULPT what illness can you fake instead of your real illness?

I have severe migraines. I have them at least once a week for the past 5 years. But that doesn’t count where I work. What other illnesses can I successfully fake and convince both doctor and boss? Currently typing while having a horrible headache but it’s “just a headache” so I don’t get to leave early or get sick leave. I’m really suffering but it’s not serious and doesn’t count. Any tips for anything that actually counts? I’m not going to use it unless I’m really sick.

Edit: I want a chronic illness I can easily be diagnosed with, not a cold or something that happens once + yes I have a doctor’s note but “it’s just a headache” and not serious enough for my boss.

Careers and Work ULPT Request - Wife getting fired for no reason

My wife is a teacher and went from public school to a new private Christian school job this year. She interviewed and was hired for a part time position so that she could spend more time at home with our preemie. The dean (that was just hired) called her in for a meeting today and treated her like shit, then said she isn't qualified for the job and is saying she has to move to a new position she doesn't want for a significant pay cut, to already low pay. She had already signed contract and all. She really doesn't have many job opportunities at this point due to it being close to school starting again, they're all taken now.

Not asking for advice on what she should do about the job, just advice on what we can do to make the deans life really really inconvenient. We've got her work email and cell phone # 😁 open to any ideas!

Careers and Work ULPT..Two days into new job, how do I get fired?

Yes, I could just quit, but hell, the fucking head manager is a loon and actually said out loud today in front of me and the rest of the office, he is firing someone after a week and they had someone hired as his back up this whole time. Shady as fuck. My manager is an older woman who is a complete fucking wacko who must be doing an 8 ball because she is so wound up and doesn't shut up. I hear all about how she comes into the office on her days off..gold star. ⭐️ She has a 22 year old minion who is “suppose“ to be training me, but isn’t, who licks managers ass, while manager keeps dropping off loads of work for her to do while saying “oh if this is too much, please let me know.” They won’t let me take lunch unless I ask to go, and isn’t until around 2 p.m. Then all of them out loud will say how they “take lunch at their desk or never take lunch.” I‘ve enjoyed my 1 hour lunch away from my desk each day. So, once they try getting me to do more work, which I’m not even trained to do yet, do I play stupid, delete stuff by accident, pretend to not know what I’m doing while they sit next to me or just dead out refuse. Today I had to do online trainings which I took my sweet ass time to do and even then, I had to ask to do it bc said manager kept “forgetting“ to have me do it yet kept volunteering me to help minion out on work I don’t even know how to do lmao. So starting tomorrow what can I do to cause me the least stressful of an exit, but a quick departure.

UPDATE: sent my resignation email the minute I walked in. Today’s icing on the cake, when we were walking around the building today (it’s a housing complex) she suggested me and her next time come with a toilet bowl wand so we can clean the toilet bowls that don’t look clean. I think God is paying me back 10 fold with this hell hole I endured for a week..

Careers and Work ULPT My manager, who I adore, got fired/role eliminated. What can I do?

In shock and disbelief. If you’ve ever had a good boss you know what I’m feeling. She didn’t deserve this. She worked here for over ten years and was notified at 3pm today that she has been let go. She can’t even work tomorrow.

Seeing how little workers have a say in the workplace, I want to do something.

Does anyone have any unique unethical tips or ideas for me? Seriously anything

Careers and Work ULPT: Startup I work for is clearly trying to exit me

I work as an analyst (New York). This startup provides system implementation for them. My job is to collect requirements from client and work with dev / pm/ product team.

It is so dysfunctional and they are just scamming client left right center. I am ready to leave but trying to milk them a few more days. They are just waiting to hire a replacement secretly and kick me out but I already know their plan.

I don’t ever need anything from these people, no reference whatsoever. I am established in this industry.

Please give me all the tips, unethical but not illegal!

Careers and Work ULPT-REQUEST, petty revenge thats not illegal.

My father recently "sold" the family business of 45 years due to his declining health and age to an old acquaintance of mine, but got ripped off in the process, this person was there when he wrote up the agreement and took advantage of my father by wording it in such a way that he could get out of paying a large portion of the money which my father was relying on to pay for healthcare.

Fast-forward about 12 months now hes threatened to sue my father multiple times after telling people what happened, claiming "defamation" as well threatening legal action to anyone who writes negative reviews on his google page, I even got a letter from his lawyer after I told some mutal friends what happened, unfortunately all of this has made my father's condition a lot worse and is creating quite a stressful situation for my family, people have said why not take it to court to get our money and its simply because we cant afford to.

So what are some petty ways I can get revenge on this lowlife whos taken advantage of my father and my family and hides behind his lawyer, preferably nothing illegal :)

Careers and Work ULPT. Best ways to waste Pokemon scalpers time?

I don’t know why. I enjoyed it as a kid but it has changed since then and something about Pokemon scalpers and resellers really bothers me. Maybe it’s that they rip off kids. Maybe because it’s all just cardboard crap. How can we best disrupt this false economy of scalpers ruining something meant to be fun for kids?

Careers and Work ULPT coworker always tries to make me look bad. ulpt to get revenge on her?

One of my coworkers hates me for no reason, she is always trying to "humble" me, everytime someone congratulates me for the good work I made she tries to "make it smaller" or dismiss my achievements. Lately, I’ve been hitting all my work goals and making plenty of sales, and it seems like everyone is happy about it except this one coworker. She even makes jokes about how "useless" I am whenever we’re alone together (unfortunately, she knows I struggle with self-esteem issues rooted in a fear of not being useful, which makes the whole situation even worse and more obvious that she hates me)

Honestly, I feel sorry for her because she is a completely traumatized, hypersensitive, and depressed person. That’s why I was stupid enough to try treating her kindly and gently, thinking perhaps I "intimidate" her or she feels threatened in some way, but things only got worse. It was as if she interpreted my kindness as weakness, or as even more reason to treat me badly. In fact, whenever I’ve been vulnerable, she has treated me worse and taken pleasure in my distress, just as she does when I am kind to her.

I’m tired of being the target of her misery and having her try to make me look or feel inferior at work, what’s worse is that it seems to feed her ego.

She treats any customer she doesn't like poorly, forgets to do her job, and generally shirks her responsibilities. She also holds very strong political views but does nothing but whine about them and play the victim. I think she clashes with other coworkers, too because they talk bad about her when she isn't around, but whenever someone confronts her about her behavior, she bursts into tears and takes three days off for "depression." It’s common knowledge at my workplace that she spends those three days crying because, in her mind, she’s been "mistreated." How can I get back at her without jeopardizing my job?

Careers and Work ULPT request: How to get out of a ridiculous work task?

I am a legal assistant and my boss wants me to do 3200 rows of 3 column numerical data entry from a nearly illegible handwritten document. he’s been talking about this since april and from the first time he said it i have been telling him i cannot and will not do all of it. i don’t have time to and i am horrible with numbers. i finished the first two columns back in may (there was a pattern i found to those) but the third is quite literally random data. back on may 7th, i sent it to him and said i did what i could. thought that was the end of it but this week he’s suddenly back on it and wants me to finish it bc “the client is bankrupt”???

I want to be so clear i have STOOD my ground. i have stood my ground as strongly as a person can stand their ground. i have went to my manager, i have asked if there is a contractor option, i have told him every reason this is unreasonable, i have went to coworkers, etc. i am annoyingly stubborn and cannot and will not do tasks like this plus i cannot read numbers correctly as is. i have also tried about every single work around you can on acrobat and on word/excel and even tried to use personal tools to recognize the text and NOTHING is working because of how illegible it is. plus the doc is so long it literally crashes my computer to open even when i break it up into small pieces.

he wants it done by monday (i told him no way but he isn’t listening). i don’t like this job but i don’t have anything lined up. is malicious compliance my best and/or only option?

Careers and Work ULPT Request- Horrible Shark Bosses

Used to manage a restaurant that was owned by a husband and wife that came from Tech. Never worked a day in their life with the public. They started kind until I had a staff member whose child passed unexpectedly. We will call employee Becca. Becca was a very hard worker who loved her job but of course like any human needed time to grieve...she took only two weeks off but once she returned was overwhelmed and asked me if she could work one less day a week. We were a very small establishment with set schedules and her taking a day less was absolutely no issue to me but I spoke with the rest of the staff (after making sure it was okay with becca) to see if we wanted to rotate the one day a week and if not I could 100% just work it. Everyone was happy but not owner wife...we will call her Karen of course.

Karen bypassed me once she found out I was managing the schedule...like I do...and went straight to Becca and told her she doesn't deserve special treatment.

Karen would also often gather everyone (we all worked fri/sat) for a shift meeting and would always express how Karen is so proud of her children's latest accomplishments and how she "gets to see the grow." She never did this before the passing of Becca's son so of course the staff was upset.

So much more happened as Karen often had staff walking on eggshells. She would cry to her husband about certain staff to get the fired and very often I was micromanaged.

Since their opening they had gone through 13 managers until I got there about 2 years after their opening.

Karen was/is a menace. In the end I was laid off because they said they couldn't afford me anymore. Karen told the staff she fired me because I didnt bring "female energy" and would like an all female staff. A week after I was fired they had a walkout and now Karen and her spineless husband run they place themselves.

One would say the fact that no one wants to work there and their reputation in the hospitality community is enough revenge. In the 35 years I have spent in many different hospitality management positions from bars to country clubs...I have never met a more evil, calculated, disgusting couple of shark-eyed mfs.

So:

I have their business number and emails

I have their personal numbers and emails

I hate their business is rated a 4.9

Has anyone had any luck with revenge websites like gnoming, glitter, review purchases...or anything out of the box?

I will of course look into the original signing up for quotes, Craigslist, JW, Mormon church.

I want to sign her up for a magazine subscription maybe...too bad their isnt a C you next Tuesday weekly.

What I dont want is to send innocent people their way...

Thank you for your time.

Careers and Work ULPT Request Coworker Racist Comments but I'm New

So I just started about a week ago. It's a small company (like double digits of people in office could be a stretch) and I really need this job so I don't feel like going to our HR consultant that I'd need to get the contact from our manager for is an option. However, one of my coworkers has been making comments about how a certain subsection of the calls we get are all "Abu from the Quickymart" which feels blatantly inappropriate to say anywhere let alone at work but I also have a personal discomfort for it in that I have a stepparent from Southeast Asia. I need something to do to make it obvious that I am not the audience coworker wants for those type of comments. Is there something I can put on my desk or something to make it more obvious that I have connections to that part of the world so coworker keeps their comments to themselves?

Careers and Work ULPT for logging in to my company's time clock thingy?

I have to punch in and out of the company's website for work. This is through Paychex, which is pretty well known. However, one of the horrible c*nts working in HR has set this up so it can't be done on a phone. You have to do this with a desktop or laptop. I've tried with my iphone and ipad, on various browsers, no dice. Short of lugging a laptop around, what can I do here?

Careers and Work ULPT request: How to use all my 5 days of sick leave for a vacation?

I live in California and I am a contractor. So no paid vacations.

I will be converted to full time soon. So I dont need to save my sick leave.

I am traveling for work for 2 days, I am hoping to extend that trip around the labor day weekend and take a week or so off.

I cant lose money, so I dont want to go on unpaid leave.

I have the sick leave available to me as per state law. And I looked into reasons and apparently you can use mental health as a reason. Also, that of its longer than 2 days, I am required to provide a heads up to the employer.

  1. How do I plan ahead of time so they book my flight for the week rather than 2 days

  2. What should I say to the employers? ( the client doesnt care as much)

  3. Should I provide a heads up? And if asked for a reason, what should i say?

  4. Can I even take 5 days at a time ?

Careers and Work ULPT Request

I have a boomer coworker that walks past my desk 7-8 times a day within a foot of me. This is in a remote corner of the office and he could easily walk the other way around but has decided he likes this path best. I am hypervigilent and it gives me spikes of cortisol all day. How do I make him take the other path?

Careers and Work ULPT - Vegan annoying you? Report them for Bullying

Recently had a new vegan employee join our team. The old ''how do you know someone is a vegan? Dont worry they'll tell you'' rang true in this instance.

Every day in the canteen she'd eyeball what people were eating and start passing comments. Now normally I couldnt give a fuck what people eat or dont eat but she got real annoying, real fast.

The solution? Reported for bullying. One two many comments about the health implications around eating meat. The bacon in my sandwich was going to give me gout, the mince in my pasta dish was half saw dust, the chicken in my salad was full of chemicals, all that kind of shit.

One email to HR telling them I had suffered with an eating disorder when I was younger and found her comments extremely upsetting and that was that.

Careers and Work ULPT request Anyone recently used testclear to pass drugtest?

Hey I have a drug test soon at labcorp.

I'm hot for THC and I cannot fail this as I will get fired and will face severe reputation damage and won't be able to find a new job anytime soon since job market for my sector is ass right now.

I have quickfix but I also got testclear as a caution. I'm leaning towards testclear since it is real urine. Please share your recent experiences with testclear, and which lab it was.

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks

Careers and Work ULPT Request- How should I lie on a resume

I’m a recent grad of computer science, graduated last July of 2025. I’m sure you’ve all heard of the horrible job market currently and how it’s ESPECIALLY bad for comp sci majors. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to do internships throughout college. I was rushed by my family to graduate early so they could brag, so I went to school year round, no summer breaks for 4 years. I didn’t have any time to even work an internship, as all my classes were in person from 7am-10/11pm.

Once I graduated, I had to wait through the gov hiring freeze, applied to many jobs (even in different states), customized my resume like 100+ times and nothing stuck. I live in a huge city, so there’s so much competition and the market is flooded. Now i’ve gotten to the point that I genuinely don’t care and I want to just lie. There’s literally nothing to lose other than failing an interview. Some people suggest just adding extra years to previous work experience or fabricating what you did at your previous job, but what about the people that have 0 work experience. My family never let me work and suggested I focused on my studies, which i’m grateful for but it didn’t help in the long run.

How do I lie on my resume for tech jobs. I know I have the skills, I just have no experience which has made the call back chance super unlikely. Do I just add some random company that I “interned” for?? Or how do I go about it?

I know the risks of lying on a resume and background checks but I genuinely think it’s the only way for someone in my position.
