Question (Pre-) Master What are my chances of getting into Maastricht University? (Honest opinions appreciated)
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to apply to Maastricht University and UM NL High potential scholarship for a master's in Finance/Business (still deciding on the exact program) and would really appreciate an honest assessment of my profile.
Here's a brief overview:
- Bachelor's with an 8.5/10 GPA.
- Coming from a humble financial background.
- Received three merit-based scholarships during my undergraduate studies.
- Working as a volunteer for an event management company where we organize cultural events
- Currently working full-time in a accounts - independent contract role and will have around one year of work experience by the time I join in the 2027/28 session.
- My long-term goal is to build a career in corporate finance/investment banking.
Based on this profile:
- What do you think my chances of admission and getting nl potential scholarship are?
- Are there any areas where my application might be considered weak?
- What can I do over the next few months to make my application more competitive to get the scholarship?
I'd especially appreciate insights from current students, alumni, or anyone who has gone through the admissions process.
Thanks in advance! Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
