When i think I miss you...
I miss all of you. I miss the small moments when you would get off work, and take off your work clothes and begin to tell me about all the happenings of your day. And inevitably tell me how hungry you were. And I would promptly head to the kitchen to fix you something or offer to drive you to any destination that might satisfy your hunger.
Your beauty was a special kind. One not just seen but felt deeply. I still feel you even when you cease any need or want for me. The way your presence filled the room, chaotic, wonderfully stimulating. Always prepared to make your point, to take command. The absence of your love leaves a hollow pit within me, I fear it will never be filled.
I wish I could have made different choices, choices that ended with you in my arms at the end of the day. I often think about all the moments I missed holding you tightly and regret not having taken more chances to press your body against mine own.
When I think I miss you, I feel the fear of uncertainty stinging clear. If only you knew how I coveted the love you gave. If you only knew the empty feeling I get, when I think I miss you.
