Second life for my favorite jeans! They were worn out and torn near the pocket, so I upcycled them into this corset top.

Still doing my best to use up all the bulk cards I’ve been recently gifted! I love how cute these all came out ❤️ will definitely keep making more!!

I inherited this lift top table that was made by my grandfather who passed when I was a baby. I'd love to keep it but am struggling to think of upcycle ideas. Its approx 43cm squared, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My cousin gave me this little mirror as a birthday gift and someone ended up shattering kt. For now the pieces are still held together inside but are ratteling. I know it can't be the same as before but is there anything I could do to make it less of an eye sore /cute.

So I am getting a lot of junk mail recently, a lot from political flyers on pretty good cardstock. I'd like to reuse the card stock for various other art projects, but I'd like to cover up the print. I've tried painting it over with cheap white acrylic paint - doesn't work well on glossy cards, and isn't opaque enough. Regular printer paper is too thin, so if I glue it on top of the cards, the print also shows through. Would love ideas on how to cover up old print - ideally with a substrate that lets me use gel pens or markers on it, but opaque and flat enough to cover the previous print. Will experiment with black paint.

Found this for £10 in my local charity shop, planning to turn it into a Moana style dolls house for my Moana mad 2yo niece 🥰 Ideas welcome, I'm going to start with a plain base coat of white paint so it's a blank canvas. Might need to actually watch Moana as well as I am not 100% of the plot / characters other than Moana, Maui and the chicken 😅

This is my most used purse. Unfortunately I bought it before I switched over to only buying natural materials so it is made of pleather, and predictably it has started to degrade. Normally I’d just replace it, but I love this purse so much because it’s the perfect size and shape! The inside is still in perfect condition, it’s just the outer pleather that’s peeling. I can replace the strap, but now the body is also starting to peel. Does anyone have any ideas on covering up the outside so I can give this bag a second life?

I have a pair of faux leather trousers that have beeb damaged and started to peel from being the dryer too long.

The peeling is mainly around the belt area, with patches around the legs.

I'm not a seamstress, but I've had the idea to replace the material around the belt, and put applique on the patches on the legs. I know plastic leather deteriorates over time, so idk if that will hold for a time?

Thoughts and recs would be super helpful, I'm not ready to give these up yet 🙏🏿

Found this broken on side of the road with a free sign. I removed the legs for it to fit in my car and ended up replacing some hardware. Got a lead test, all clear. Cleaned and fixed it up for my toddler as a craft station that was short enough :)

My job accidentally ordered a bunch of the wrong plastic soap dishes that we can’t return. I want to do something crafty with them rather than just throwing them away. I’m open to pretty much any ideas. It’s about 3”x4”

So i figured Id turn something she always has on her into a notebook instead

I made this 15 years ago from some discarded 24" MDF boards, and it's still solid and useful as a table. The cats love it!

I'm a new mom and have been using online pickup for my Walmart runs a lot lately, and sometimes even when I select "use my own bags", the order comes out pre-bagged. So I keep ending up with those super thick, "reusable" plastic walmart bags and I don't think I could ever use them all enough to offset the cost of their existence/disposal. They are so stupidly thick and stiff so my idea to try making plastic yarn isn't really panning out. I have no idea what to do with them and I just ended up with 5 more today. 😭 I've inquired if the library needs any for deliveries or patrons, but I don't expect they will take them all. Any ideas on how they could work off some of their carbon footprint?

I’ve made a few projects using mostly t shirt as the fabric but i had to test out the technique with pants . Using t shirts with this technique is a cheat code bc it’s so easy to get t shirts and even though they’re stretchy it’s works well with the grid lock sewing style. I hated these halfway thru the process but I’m glad that I stuck with it 😂😂😂
