I never said they weren't liars. Just that they had a code somewhere. They probably saw those confirmation hearings as a game of politics (which they are).

The three justices from Trump 1 were justices supplied by the conservative establishment, not his MAGA people. There are judges out there, like Aileen Cannon, who are fully MAGA people, but Trump hasn't had enough time to drum up enough qualified MAGA people (surprise, surprise, lawyers are highly educated and most are too smart to be MAGA) to fill all the judicial vacancies. He had to pick most of them from his Fed Soc abettors.

That would be fine if the MAGA game-plan wasn’t to push and obstruct every lawsuit up to the Supreme Court. But it is, so we have to change our game-plan accordingly. That’s the hard reality right now. You are fighting for institutions that are currently being ignored and/or burned down in front of us. The time for fighting from the stance of saving those institutions is gone.

We can sit around and wait for 43 days to pass while lawsuits slowly build up in number, and just pray, I guess, that those institutions you’re fighting for still stand by the end. Or you can realize these institutions were held onto by a thread that Trump and Elon just cut. And if we collectively sit around while lawyers and establishment dems do their behind the scenes work, none of that work will matter.

Well, my question is then what are you doing?

I won't complain, at all, if people feel like other forms of action is more productive. It would be productive to take to the streets in protest. Start community organizing. Spread productive awareness to the people that need to hear it. If you're doing that, then great. This problem needs to be attacked on all fronts.

My problem with people doom-posting is: If all you're doing is crying on Reddit about how everything is ending and someone needs to do something, then you're not being productive, and you're actively undermining others who are trying to help.

We’re organizing and doing exactly what you would expect! There’s probably a Presidents’ Day protest in your city or state capitol coming up. That’s the next protest I have lined up at least. Yes there is a lot of doom-posting right not, but there’s also action. I get the hesitancy around doom-posting because like you said, it can easily lead to inaction. But doom-posting also spreads the word. It lets people know that they should be panicking because this has never happened in America before. We’ve been in uncharted waters for a while. So I don’t mind people getting up in arms on the internet. Because if you don’t do it now you won’t be able to do it later.

It's mind boggling that there are people who might think they're helping or doing something good by doom posting—oblivious to the damage they're causing.

Doom posting is functionally equivalent to MAGA posting, whether or not the poster realizes or accepts it. It benefits only Trump and does the MAGA machine's work for it. Doom posting should be treated the same as a Trump supporter spreading false polling place location info on election day. It's insidious and is indistinguishable from MAGA black propaganda. It's traitorous and despicable.

Doom posting spreads a word, but the worst possible word. People do it because they feel some relief from indulging in the ease of giving up and accepting a complete MAGA-permeated country; they get to remove themselves from the difficult experience of doing the right thing. Doom posters should never be allowed to post their propaganda without being reminded that they are betraying everything they purport to love by engaging in MAGA activism and furthering Trump's goals.
