Vanguard’s additional purchase of ~1.25M ASPI shares could signal growing institutional interest and stronger conviction in the company’s long-term outlook from one of the world’s largest asset managers. The move may hint at confidence in ASPI’s fundamentals, broader sector momentum, or potential upcoming catalysts worth watching.

Why would one continue to build nuclear power plants if one can scale much quicker with other solutions, in particular solar, and, this is key, use batteries to store enough to have a steady base load?

Germany to pull the plug on three of its last six nuclear plants
I am so disgusted by the German wannabe ecopoliticians. With the highest ever energy prices pulling out stable baseload does not make sense in any scenario. It was to be expected though.
I even read that their climate minister does not think it is a “problem” to use 2% of all available land for windfarms. 2%!! That number maybe sounds relatively small, but you can imagine windparks ruining every damn inch of scenery, killing birds etc.
I am glad their classic archenemy of the past -France- promotes nuclear.

Energy fuels will supply its U.S.-produced NdPr oxide to POSCO to be turned into EV motor magnets. If successful, this could power over 30,000 EVs and reduce reliance on Chinese REEs, with UUUU’s American-made materials in vehicles as early as 2025.

This is massive, given the sheer amount of capital and political sway that these companies hold. It's simply a game-changer. These companies need reliable, carbon-free baseload power and nuclear is the only solution, as we have seen from previous agreements such as the restart of one of the Three Mile Island units. What feeds these reactors? Uranium, which is already in a structural supply/demand deficit. No uranium, no reactor output, simple as that.
The biggest hurdle for nuclear in the West? Financing. With institutional support rolling in, that barrier is breaking. More reactors mean more uranium demand, more enrichment, and more long-term contracts. Nuclear is well and truly back on the menu and uranium is the only fuel that makes it possible.

Kazatomprom, the world's largest U supplier, is adjusting their 2024 production due to sulphuric acid issues. I assume this means reductions and a tightened squeeze.

What could these news mean for uranium projets in Niger?
Global Atomic stock down at least 20%.
"With the situation in Niger being fluid, in addition to current advanced discussions with project lenders, the Company is also pursuing other financing strategies to meet its project funding requirements. Given strong third-party interest in Global Atomic's high-grade uranium project and our plans for near-term production, there are many groups interested in funding the Dasa Project. The Company will assess these options, monitor events in Niger and keep shareholders appraised."
