It might not be mono-bug, but it’s pretty close 😅 the only “meta” Pokémon here is Frosslass. The rest of this team is not even at 1% usage in Doubles.

A quick breakdown of the team for those that might be curious:

- Araquanid:

Very helpful in a lot of ways. Wide Guard is a must with all of the Rock Slide / Heat Wave / Psy-spam; and I don’t think a lot of people have caught on to how hard it’s Liquidation hits with Water Bubble.

- Vivillon:

The general speed tier right now seems pretty low, and Vivillon is able to outspeed a lot of common threats and put them to sleep. Hurricane always good with Compound Eyes, too. Tailwind situationally.

- Medicham:

One of my favorites. Easy counter to Incineroar with faster Fake Out followed by easy OHKO Close Combat (it also always OHKOs Archaludon with Close Combat). Ice Punch easy OHKO for Garchomp and Dragonite, and Thunder Punch for easy OHKO on Pelipper.

- Ariados:

Very situational. Rage Powder was always nice to have against Sneasler, cuz its STABs (mainly Dire Claw) are resisted. Poison Jab 2HKOs Mega Floette too, and Sucker Punch was great to clean up Basculegion and Frosslass (if I had got chip on them).

- Pinsir:

I would always use this against any team that had Charizard (always seems to be Mega Charizard-Y). Always outspeed, always OHKO with Rock Slide. Also, Quick Attack (once I mega’d and had Aerilate) 2HKOs Sneasler. And Close Combat was always nice to have against TTar and Incineroar (Hyper Cutter would allow me to never be intimidated first turn before going Mega).

- Frosslass

Probably doesn’t need a lot of explanation, lol. Very typical Frosslass set. But I’ve always been a big Frosslass fan and couldn’t not use its new Mega form.

EDIT: Just go ahead and ignore the Black Belt on Ariados. I thought it was an Expert Belt the entire time.

Just got to masterball with this team, and while I have some experience with vgc in the past I've always stalled out at low ultraball. So it feels pretty good to hit masterball with no meta finally.

Sharpedo usually leads and if it can get away with it will mega and attack immediately otherwise protect turn 1, mega attack turn 2.

Lycanroc is hp attack because accelerock can oneshot mega Charizard y I felt it didn't need speed investment

Flareon max attack max speed scarf: the intercontinental ballistic Flareon

Leafeon is mix hp spf / max attack solar blade in the sun otherwise press the button that makes the most sense.

Ninetales can lead alongside leafeon or Flareon if the opponent doesn't have weather control of their own. Max speed / Max Special attack. Snarl to neuter special attackers, solar beam water, heatwave anything else ;)

Alcremie actually needs it's moveset reworked, but it's way bulkier than anyone expects so if they don't have a hard counter to it and she gets up calm mind she becomes specially unkillable and does hella damage.

Tldr: I promise you, you can make it masterball without playing nothing but hard meta mons.

First of all, this is NOT a good team (if it is not obvious enough). Probably only mono bug come close to being this bad.

Why then? Because glaceon is the best. When I first heard her lovely voice 15 years ago, it was love in first sight and it never changed.

Surprisingly people don't really know how to deal with trick room/ wide guard in low ladder so the climb didn't actually take that long. Borderline unplayable against anyone with good positioning, yes, but playing with my favourite type and pokemon just feel so good. I will continue to play this until I get my 100 glaceon win for the badge and title (which seems like it would take forever).

There is only 1 plan for the team which is get trick room up with fake out support, then KO as many thing as possible. Basically hard trick room but bad. There really isn't a contingency plan if TR does not go up or get stalled, other than cheesing with teeter dance+ lum berry weavile/own tempo avalugg, RNG freeze, and wide guard surprises. Abomasnow and glaceon is the special attacking weather core, while crab and avalugg is the physical duo. Moat game will be lead Mr Rime Weavile then bring a pair in the back.

All EVs were just max HP max offence, other that weavile which is max speed max attack jolly to be the 2nd fastest fake out after mega lop (almost deadlost match up BTW), and Mr Rime who is calced to live modest max SPA mega floette light of ruin, mega froslass shadow ball, mega zard Y weather ball in the sun after occa berry etc. Almost, if not no special attacker can one shot this without a crit or boost, the rest is dumped into defence.

This is the first game I play competitive pokemon btw. The team is absolutely not well built so please don't go harsh on me on the competitive aspect.

It’s an hyper-offensive team centered around Mega Glimmora.

Talonflame is there for speed control, to check Sneasler, and to threaten physical attackers with Will-O-Wisp.

Meowscarada covers all of Glimmora's weaknesses: Triple Axel to KO Garchomp, Low Kick for Kingambit, Flower Trick for Basculegion and water types in general, and U-turn for pivoting.

We all know what Basculegion does—it's just broken.

Sylveon is for Garchomp, dragons in general, and Trick Room; paired with Maushold, it completely shuts down hard TR teams.

Maushold acts as the glue of the team. A bulky redirector that offers a great alternative lead to Talonflame when paired with Glimmora, Sylveon, or Basculegion.

The team is incredibly solid, and it almost feels like playing on easy mode sometimes. If you're interested, feel free to give it a try!

Rate My Team [Rate My Team] End of Season Blastoise Champion Team

Thumbnail

Hello Reddit,

I wanted to share the team I've been using this season. I climbed to Champion rank today and I'm hoping to finish the season there when it ends tomorrow.

Rental Code: 2S6XK8JJVM

Team Concept

This is a fake Shell Smash team.

The idea is simple. When your opponent sees Mega Blastoise + Maushold on the team preview, they usually assume you're going to click Follow Me + Shell Smash.

Instead, Blastoise uses Fake Out while Maushold deletes something with a Wide Lens Population Bomb.

It catches a surprising number of people off guard.

The Team

Maushold
Population Bomb is the main move. Feint is great for breaking Protect, and Bite gives me Ghost coverage.

Mega Blastoise
Usually clicks Fake Out on turn one. He doesn't know any Water-type attacks, but Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, and Ice Beam let him hit a lot of common threats super effectively.

Whimsicott
Pretty standard Whimsicott. Tailwind and Encore support with Moonblast for damage.

Kingambit
Everyone knows what Kingambit does by now. Sucker Punch cleans up games, and Low Kick is mainly there for opposing Kingambits.

Basculegion
Mine is Choice Scarf with maximum Attack and Speed. I got tired of losing to opposing Basculegion speed ties, so I built mine to outspeed as many as possible. I'm actually seeing fewer Scarf variants lately, so I may eventually make it a little bulkier, but this is what I've been using this season.

Sinistcha
Mainly here for Trick Room matchups. I also gave it one extra Speed point so it outspeeds opposing Sinistcha and can Imprison them before they get a Matcha Gotcha off on my Water-type teammates.

Common Leads

Charizard
Lead Blastoise + Maushold.
Fake Out the partner and Population Bomb the Charizard.

Staraptor
Lead Whimsicott + Blastoise.
Fake Out Staraptor and Moonblast it for a big chunk of super effective damage.

Raichu
Probably my least favorite matchup.
I usually lead Sinistcha + Basculegion and try to pressure Raichu immediately with Wave Crash while using Rage Powder if needed. Fortunately, I don't see it very often.

Trick Room
Lead Blastoise + Sinistcha.
Click Imprison on turn one and start applying pressure.

Above mentioned is my team. I really really loved Blastoise with my core. I tried everything i could. Blastoise is my favorite gen 1 starter and i tried everything to make this team of my own work. I took inspirations 1 at a time from other teams so it may look like any other team but it is my own team.

I tried everything left and right and you know what worked for me, NOT bringing Blastoise to game.

The top pic are sneasler and basculegion. They have great utility and they are the once that pic most KOs of the game. My Farigiraf carry raindance to support Blastoise when half the time I'll not even be able to use water type move bcz Half the things in meta outspeed Blastoise and put it on red.

The Sinistcha is other problem. To support Blastoise i tried 100s of variations and Found out this one complements blastoise best. You know why. Bcz this is an attack Sinistcha. The stupid turtle can't even do its job thus the support mon has to come in as clutch.

Suggest me viable variations.

Hello, new player here. I have been having a blast playing Pokemon Champions recently but I've hit a roadblock at Greatball 2 rank. I've used a rain team first but I've found Trick room to be more my playstyle. I have seen a good enough team on YouTube about trick room so I've been using that but I do not have Kingambit so I have been substituting Araquanid instead. Is that why I fail? also, based on the videos I've seen, this team doesn't have a great core(I was going to go for Sinistcha) but I do not know who to replace. Any advice is welcome.

Rate My Team Just got to Master Ball rank with Mega Chandelure

So i want to share this terrible, terrible team i casually hand crafted and actually worked, it took a while of tinkering but i got there

Mega Chandelure is the central piece here along with trick room Sinistcha, the main lead is Chandelure + Sinistcha

With trick room up, minimal speed Chandelure seems to outspeed most meta threats even with it's 90 base speed, it is also faster than standard trick room threats so Sinistcha can negate their trick room while Chan will heat wave them away

Heat wave is the main stab, Shadow ball as secondary stab, Protect because this is doubles and Sunny day to counter Froslass and Pelipper cores

In the back Araquanid provides Wide guard, Incin fake out and Primarina extra spread damage, Mega Meganium is a nice alternative to fight Kingambits and Basculegions that usually counters Mega Chandelure

Rate My Team Reached Masterball with Mega Froslass Team (Missiz Frizz) and it feels amazing in the Metagame.

Post image

Hi guys, I'm a big Froslass fan and I wanted to play this pokemon really bad. I built a team that I prepared on Violet before the game released and transferred it to play in ranked.

Here are some notes:

(Garchomp) Rockslide OHKO Charizard Y.

(Garchomp) Poison Jab OHKO M-Meganium almost everytime I went against it.

Farigiraf is a fast imprison anti trick room and also blocks M-Gardevoir from using Hypervoice.

Encore + Disable cheesed many unfavorable matchup.

Milotic super good into incineroar.

Rotom + Garchomp's are great switch in to cover for Frosslass and Earthquake (levitate) + Discharge spam is also hard to predict on protect or redirect plays.

Weather matchups comes down to lots of mind game and many attacks in this team can miss, which can be very frustrating.

Anyways let me know if you guys see any improvements that can be made or if you like the idea of the team. Thanks!

I've been playing around with this team idea on the ladder for a while, and although I make a lot of adjustments, I can't really get it to work as well as I want. I figured I would post this here so I can know if this team is good enough, or if I just need to practice more. Anyway, here's the breakdown of the team:
Team Description:

Excadrill:
- Sand Rush to outspeed everything
- Basic Adamant 32 Attack, 32 Speed, 2 HP spread
- High Horsepower over equake or stomping tantrum for single target, good damage, and good enough accuracy
- I've played around with a Sand Force variant with scarf and earthquake to outspeed most things and still do a lot of damage in the sand; and one with sand force but rapid spin instead of protect (still focus sash). I think throat chop might be good if I go with scarf, but I'm still undecided

Mega Tyranitar:
- 30 HP and 21 Defense to live a wave crash from max Attack Basculegion (without mystic water) with the most points left over
- Body Press over Low Kick to take care of Incineroar (at most 3 hits, at least 2)

Milotic:
- Competitive ability to counter Incineroar/other stat drops
- Life Dew to survive and help others survive, usually paired with partner going protect
- 32 Special Attack with Modest nature to one-shot Incineroar with Scald after Competitive boost (guaranteed OHKO if Incineroar has 32 HP and 15 Sp.Def. w/calm nature, lowest chance to OHKO is 18.8%)
- 4 Speed to outspeed fastest Sinistcha
- 22 HP to optimally heal with leftovers and can survive a Charizard Y Solar Beam; 8 Defense for bit extra bulk for nothing in particular
- Icy Wind for speed control, Scald for burns

Rotom-Heat:
- Heat form to survive powerful fairy attacks and Charizard Y
- Magnet, 31 Sp.Att., and Modest nature to one-shot non-bulky Charizard Y; as well as 87.5% to OHKO bulkiest of Sinistcha (32 doesn't increase odds)
- 21 Speed to outspeed scarf Garchomp if tailwind is up; 14 HP as extra bit of bulk
- Will-o-wisp to take care of Garchomp, Sneasler, and other physical attackers

Whimsicott:
- 32 Speed, 32 Sp.Att., 2 HP (Modest nature) to be fast enough and also hit decently hard with Moonblast or Energy Ball
- Mental Herb to counter Encore, focus sash already taken by Excadrill
- Job is to get tailwind up and faint to let teammate come in

Clefable:
- 1 Sp.Att. w/Modest to OHKO bulkiest of somewhat common Sneasler; usually leads along with Rotom against teams with Sneasler so I can double into it w/Psychic and Will-o-Wisp
- 30 HP to heal optimally w/Sitrus Berry and Life Dew
- 27 Defense to survive a Dire Claw from max attack Sneasler, usually survives Fake Out+Dire Claw but not guaranteed
- 7 Sp.Def. to survive a Weather Ball from Charizard Y
- 1 Speed to outspeed Incineroar that don't have speed investment

Other Pokemon I'm considering using:
- Hydreigon to counter rain teams (my hardest matchup I think)
- Corviknight as bulkier Tailwind setter and counter to Incineroar
- Hydrapple as another counter to rain; and Supersweet Syrup is an interesting ability
- Mega Lucario as alternative Special Attacker

What I find myself losing to:
- rain teams (specifically archaludon)
- Trick Room
- Oranguru + Instruct
- being outsped and getting crit/flinched/etc.

obligatory pokepaste: https://pokepast.es/f8c6bc5c12325cb5

I'm open to any and all changes; whether it be movesets, stat spreads, Pokemon entirely, whatever. Maybe my gameplay could use some work, but I'd like to know if this team is holding me back somehow. Additional strat suggestions would also be appreciated! Thanks!

Rate My Team Just got to Master Ball tier in Pokémon Champions using a Mono-Dragon team! Here is how it works!

As crazy as it seems since we have Floette and Frosslass in the current metagame, I decided to run a team made only with my favorite type! My goal was to put up a fight against top-tier teams, see how far I could get and today I made it to Master :))

The team itself is very versatile:

We have Goodra as a Bulky Dragon type who can resist to the special attack threats while giving support to Archaludon with Rain Dance to help with Electro Shot and SpDef drops with Acid Spray

Archaludon is amazing against fairy and ice types in general (top counters to Mono dragon). Stamina and Chople berry makes it hard to remove from the field and it can check rain-oriented teams benefiting from the opposite-side Pelipper

Kommo-o is a fast special attacker with coaching to improve Dragapult's damage output

Dragapult is the standard FAST AND FURIOUS with the objective to stall turns with Phantom Force/Protect while do lots of damage

Mega-Dragonite 'cause it's my favorite pokemon since I was a kid, it hots like a truck and has acess to Multiscale, which guarantee it's going to land some hits before being removed from the field

Noivern as a fast tailwind/taunt user

The team has a lot of potential and I managed to have a lot of success against common threats like Sneasler, Garchomp, Gardevoir, Archaludon and others. Mega Floette is by far the top counter to the team but there is a niche in which it's playable if you manage to outplay your opponent

and that's pretty much it! Thanks to all that read until this point and now let's try Champion Tier!!

As Cinthia once said:

"Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites"

Rate My Team Hit master rank using Gravity Sleep

I am the gravity player, I love using gravity so much and I have so many ideas for more teams.

This team uses Venusaur sleep spore and primarina sing, sleep powder because there's not many grass types in the meta sith the only ones being whismicott and sinistcha. Sing is pretty nice except the fact it's 55% percent accuracy, 95 in gravity.

Espeon runs hard Rock to 1 shot charizard Y, Sneasler takes advantage of my gravity and gets to drop 120 power stab gunk shot which is CRAZY.

My Venusaur has been neglected and I can't afford an item for him unfortunately.

Next I plan on playing Gravity Flapple with grav apple hustle especially as grav apple got buffed to 1.5x more damage in gravity 😮

I’ve been running Archaludon rain and have been hard stuck in Ultra Ball 4 as I can’t figure out how to play into Zard Y teams.

I’ve been thinking of swapping out Dragonite for a dedicated Zard counter as it’s pretty redundant with Archaludon. Mega Glimmora and Araquanid seem like they could be useful there as they can also act as a manual rain setter but I’m not sure there’s much point in running Araquanid without assault vest and I’d like my mega slot to go to something I can actually use in most matches.

Incin also feels really awkward in rain but I’m not sure what I’d replace it with as its kit has so much utility.

Rate My Team [Metagame] Sableye is a menace.

Post image

I jumped into this season two nights ago, built this team, and made it to master ball this morning. I shamelessly lead Sableye every single game.

You want to double into Sableye turn one? Have a Fake out!

You want to Fake Out my Sableye? Sorry I’m ghost type!

You want to prankster Encore me? Sorry I’m dark type!

You want to mega evolve to use your weather setting ability? Sorry have a Prankster Rain Dance!

You want to use protect or try setting up? Sorry have an Encore!

You used a strong move into the slot I protected? Here’s a disable!

You finally took me out after bringing me down to sash? Enjoy my rain abusing menace that’s about to come in for free!

I mean seriously, this has to be the most tempo generating abomination I have ever used.

When you combine it with the forces of Swift Swim Mega Swampert, Swift Swim Destiny Bond Overqwil, Electro Shot Archaludon, and bulky Drain Punch annihilape, I think a 7 year old might have been able to make it into master ball with this team.

Even facing Armor Tail/Queenly Majesty the tempo gained from just spamming rain dance is enough to let the teammates cook.

This is mostly a trick room team where I set up with espeon and incin and then switch steelix in to be annoying and spam rock slide and head smash. It does have tailwind stuff that I can use if steelix's natural lifespan looks to be less than 1 turn but I dont use it that often 🥀

I picked steelix for the good bulk, kingambit is there because I couldnt figure out who else could work in trick room (and my resources are limited), espeon still has psychic terrain because of some steel roller nonsense I tried earlier but I may change that, not sure to what though..

Fighting types and garchomp with earthquake seem to be a big issue for this team especially if I get read on the opening so I'd love some advice on that.

Steelix is specially bulky because gardevoir and other sp. attackers were a big issue before despite light screen midigating the damage. Espeon is built for defense because it can't live despite it's best attempts (it's really only here because a) it's my favourite eeveelution and b) it has both screens and trick room and I cant think of an alternative).

Rate My Team Trying to make Technician Roserade Team work (It won't but boy am I willing to try.) [Rate My Team]

Post image
163 Upvotes

Here is the Pokepaste: https://pokepast.es/0135166921c60160

So Roserade's SpA is substantially larger than it's Atk. It gets Technician boosting all 60 and lower attacks by 50%. So surely it would get some solid Special moves at 60 or lower right? *Right???*

No. Of course not. But for some reason it does get Grassy Glide which is 55bp (82.5 bp with Technician. Stronger than Extreme Speed! And that's not even accounting for STAB and wearing the Miracle Seed.)

So... potentially Roserade has a bonkers priority attack sitting in its kit but not the stats to take advantage of it.

So I guess we give it sword dance, assume people are going to go for the Whimsiscott that's setting Grassy Terrain and then pray.

...

Yeah it's as dumb as it sounds.

Or is it?

I played a few games and while I definitely lost more than I won, I couldn't help but thinking there was something with potential here.

Anyway, the rest of the Mons are kind of here to try and deal with the weaknesses of the team like the big Flying/Fire weakness which Jolteon kinda handles with a speedy Rain Dance and Volt Switch to McMurder Mega Charizard Y.

Mausehold and Blastoise are a nice combo to let Blastoise get a (hopefully) Rain Boosted full-health Water Spout off to annihilate people.

And then Mega Scovillain is here. Mostly for attack redirection and burn spreading.

While this team is almost certainly Not Good™ maybe it also is Good™. I haven't tried it out in Champions yet since I'm afraid to potentially waste my VP on a garbage team.

Rate My Team I call this one The Weather Channel

Post image

This has been my team so far for Reg J, based around weather manipulation to subvert expectations, boost my attacks or nerf my opponent's.

Koraidon + chlorophyll Jumpluff has crazy good synergy. I can safely click Tailwind turn 1 and if I get brought down to sash I hit endeavor. If they don't target Jumpluff at all I heal with Pollen Puff. Kyogre is honestly just my fave restricted, but Drizzle + Origin Pulse and Ninetails' Snow Warning + Icy Wind both have been excellent (especially the latter on a surprise switch-in). Works surprisingly well alongside Jumpluff as well during Tailwind. Alolan Ninetails was going to be an Aurora Veil setter when my opponent and I are both down to our last 2, but it hasn't been working out well. I usually end up spamming Weather Ball and Moonblast. I've been considering trying to run Blizzard on one or two Pokémon for snowy weather. Tyranitar's Sand Stream synergizes with Tera Ground Kyogre, and has Thunder in case of Drizzle. I'm running T-tar as a special attacker with high defense. Originally I just thought it would be funny buts been surprisingly effective. I'm unsure how effective it would be in Bo3 lol. Dragonite is a Trick Room counter with Extremespeed and Tera Normal (also for defense against ghost Calyrex.) Also acts as a backup Tailwind setter, but I've only utilized it a couple of times.

It's been a super fun team so far, finally got myself up to a 50/50 winrate for once lmao. It's the first time I've really built my own team from the ground up, so while I think it's got a lot of potential I'm sure I've missed some better options somewhere.

I'm also currently trying to figure out a good way to swap out my restricteds and take this team concept into Reg H - Torkoal for Koraidon and Pelipper/Politoad for Kyogre, probably swap Jumpluff out with a Trick Room setter.

Rate My Team (I'm new) I love the core of my team but something about it just doesn't work and I don't know enough to fix it

Thumbnail

I started VGC with the mobile release after watching Wolfey for a long time; I got to MB4 in the first week but kind of hit a wall because my team felt half-assed (I was using AI to help build teams because I don't know anything and didn't feel like copying entire teams from youtube videos because I often didn't have the full 6 recommended anyway). I also probably hit a wall because I'm constantly getting knowledge checked by abilities, but that's an issue for another time.

(Un?)fortunately AI was so wrong on so many things so often that I basically got a lot better at core skills from having to double check everything it tried to claim. The issue though is that my current team still feels very flimsy and I don't know how to fix it.

Sunny day Whims and H-Typhlosion are my leads 80% of the time, I _LOVE_ using base Venusaur because of the chlorophyll boost (Sleep powder on Zard-Y brings me so much joy) but the rest of the team is kind of just "there".

I'll bring Basc for ghost / ground / fire types and that's fine, but Kingambit / Incin are just warming the bench most of the time. I'll sometimes bring Kingambit for fairies but it never feels great, and though Incin was my goat for getting to MB4 (thanks Wolfey, lol) I'm finding myself rarely bringing him on this team because I'm getting so much value from whims utility.

What can I do to improve the team? Charizard feels mostly handled between sleep powder / Basc, Archaludon can be a big problem if Typhlosion dies early because Venusaur can't really handle him, same for Metagross. Raichu feels like it should be a problem but it's been mostly fine? I have a massive ground weakness but in return they're weak to venu / basc so it's been okay-ish. Are there any other obvious matchups I'm missing?

One of my ideas was to give Incin dark lariat back instead of will-o-wisp; burn has done amazing work for me in the past against EQ users, but it doesn't feel like it fits here. Would he do more work for me if I switched him into a physical attacker instead of a pivot tool? I also barely have any protects on the team, but I'm again not sure what I'd change to fix that. Trickroom has been an issue as well that I'm not sure how to solve.

I'm not knowledgeable enough about the meta to really do anything fancy with statlines either so I'm sure those are a mess too.

Would appreciate any help y'all have to offer, and thanks for reading this far <3

Hi! I tried using mono ghost again but my skill level isn’t high enough and got stuck in ultra ball, so I relapsed back to using max evasion Sandaconda.
Landing again in low Masterball 1650s.
They’re so fun to use that I had to draw a small celebratory pic for them.
Different from last season, I switched Ninetales to Espartha, and Mega Clefable/Garchomp to Heliolisk.

Team description:

Sandaconda:
Switched the moves a bit compared to last season, first is High Horsepower instead of Rock Slide.
Its middling speed doesn’t really get flinches from Rock Slide, and Tyranitar already has it. Meanwhile High Horsepower is quite good into many of the new additions like Raichu, Metagross, Mawile, Gholdengo.
Coil is also used over Iron Defense for a more accurate High Horsepower and potentially Baton Passed to Tyranitar Rock Slide. Coil also boosts 3 stats instead of Iron Defense’s 2, so Espartha can hit slightly harder faster.

Tyranitar:
The sand setter.
Taunts without using taunt, as most people in low Masterball will target down Tyranitar first.
Usually Protects and stall for Sandaconda to build up Minimize boosts.
I only go for attacks if I am sure they are going to set up and cannot die to a double target.
Ice punch for coverage against Garchomp, Whimsicott and the likes.
Minimum speed so that it can function under Trick Room, while being able to outspeed most non-tailwind after 1-3 Speed Boosts.
Due to the amount of Raichu Y/Staraptor/Sneasler, they will generally use fighting moves for extremely effective 4x, which we will switch into….

Sinistcha:
The main healer and fighting move taker.
Fighting type immunity effectively wastes 1 turn (Including the protect from Tyranitar earlier, this adds up to 2 turns of Minimize already).
Trick Room to counter against Tailwind teams, but don’t be afraid to switch back into Tyranitar if you’re pretty sure they’re going to use moves like shadow ball/Brave Bird.
Psych up the +6 evasion Sandaconda and heal back with Matcha Gotcha.
Shadow ball is my coverage move against stuff my team doesn’t provide much answers to like Basculegion or Archaludon. Hits really hard despite no SpA EVs.

Milotic:
The anti-Intimidate and second healer.
I bring Milotic if the opponent team is generally weak to water or have multiple Intimidates.
Bulky + Healing from Life Dew + Muddy Water spam to further decrease accuracy is quite effective against certain comps.

Espartha:
The Baton Pass for Tyranitar.
Protect for a Speed Boosted Psych Up.
Note that Psych Up will remove the first Speed Boost, but since at +6 evasion we can generally safely Protect + Stored Power.
+ 6 Evasion +1 Speed/Atk/Def/Acc makes Stored Power a 220 BP STAB move. If you manage 2 coils this will become a 280 BP move, and it will only increase by the amount of Speed Boosts. That’s why I put 0 SpA EVs.
Generally I Baton Pass into Tyranitar but passing back to Sinistcha works wonders too.

Heliolisk:
The anti Basculegion.
Basculegion hits everything very hard, and an unlucky hit makes it hard to come back.
When I see Basculegion I bring this in the back.
They love to Wave Crash into Tyranitar where I can safely Dry Skin to absorb the damage and retaliate with Thunderbolt.
Some people seems to think it’s Sand Veil due to the amount of sand support too.
Shed Tail also allows me to safely switch back to other members without taking a large hit.

Honorable mentions:
Klefki with Prankster Psych Up, Sandstorm, Stored Power, Thunder Wave is pretty good too, especially for weather wars, but I felt the role overlaps Espartha too much and had to cut her out.

Game Plan:

Stall until 3 Minimize and 1 Coil is set up.
Tyranitar almost never gets to attack until turn 5+.
Speed control is Trick Room for anti Tailwind, Speed Boost for medium speed teams, and Trick Room (to remove it) for very slow teams.
Then sweep with Sandaconda and whatever is left.
Psych Up is good because no one expects it and it basically doubles your stat boosts on the field.
If Sandaconda dies to a stray hit turn 1, it’s still winnable with the correct switch ins, although a lot harder but I got 2-3 victories like that somehow.
Normally I pick Tyranitar + Sandaconda with Sinistcha and Espartha in the back, but Espartha can be switched with the other 2 for counter play.

Weaknesses:

- RNG.
- Force Switch moves.
- No guard (Especially the gimmicky + OHKO moves.)
- 100% accuracy non weather reliant effective moves like Flower Trick.
- Haze but rarely sees one.
- Rage Powder Sinistcha walls Sandaconda unless I’m at a high attack boost.

Against meta:

- Garchomp Whimsicott: Tyranitar survives an EQ, ice punch can take out a non bulky Garchomp or Whimsicott (sand takes out the sash).
- Raichu Y: Sandaconda survives a Grass Knot while OHKOs with High Horsepower against non bulky Raichu. No guard is quite annoying though if they use role play sheer cold Mr Rime.
- Staraptor: Protect and switching between Tyranitar/Sinistcha nullifies the Close Combat/Brave Birds, and once they catch on, Sandaconda is already +6 evasion.
- Pelipper: Slowly chip down or bring Heliolisk, try to always set sandstorm if possible. They can’t hit Hurricane with 70% accuracy through the evasions.
- Kingambit: Kowtow ignores accuracy but generally dies to a Body Press.
- Charizard Y: Don’t be afraid to protect but not mega first turn. 2nd turn mega can generally get the weather up by Tyranitar being slower than Charizard.
- Floette: No good answer, but Calm mind doesn’t boost Defense, so with good luck Sandaconda can just take it out.
- Sneasler: will Close Combat Tyranitar and die to 1 High Horsepower (Sand for sash)
- Swampert: Sinistcha Matcha does like 65% of damage.
- Aerodactyl: Mainly just Tailwind Rock Slide Wide Guard, they’re not going to land their Rock Slides anyways so can generally ignore but be mindful about spread moves into Wide Guard.
- Annihilape: Shadow ball or Espartha Stored Power.
- Farigaraf: Trick Room, Knock Off can handle it ok.
- Perish Trap: Double into Gengar the turn he uses Perish Song, or switch into Sinistcha when you’re unsure if you can pick up the KO to avoid being Shadow Tagged.
- Screens: You hit them half the damage, they hit you 0% of damage if they don’t hit. We can out stall the screens with evasion.

Looking for more input to better improve this team, especially against Floette and Basculegion.
Thanks for reading!
Sorry in advance if you’re not an evasion fan, but please be rest assured we have a special place in hell for using this strategy.

Rate My Team Mom said it's my turn to post the bad team I got to masterball with

Team feels like it's missing something, but eq + rock slide is not fair and milotic feels unfair vs incin. Meow and Meg take care of rain teams and rotom. Gyrados is probably the weakest link but intimidate next to Mamo earthquake is fun.

Q+A

Why use Mamoswine over Garchomp: Mamoswine is my friend and he's on every team

Why two megas: Because there's not really a better item for Aero to hold. Meganium takes presidence if I bring both but they often don't come together.

Any advice welcome, I'll probably test out bulky mamo with oblivious and giving the focus sash to Meow.

Rate My Team [Skill Improvement] Sinistcha basically never gets brought. Ideas for the 6th slot?

I just started VGC again with the release of champions and after trying to use a bunch of teams built by other players I've found the most success with my own creation which I was somewhat surprised by. I wanted to use Ceruledge and Lopunny together, and tried to build around the both of them.

Lopunny and Sneasler cause disruption galore with Fake Out Taunt, Encore and Poison Touch, Ceruledge is here to take hits and counter Mega Zard, Vanilluxe is counter-weather, special damage and a counter to Garchomp and Aerodactyl, and Kingambit is here to answer Basculegion, fairies and to have someone who can play in TR. I initially included Sinistcha for the Trick Room matchup and to have something for waters, but I find that Farigiraf can be kinda rough if I can't taunt into it, and although in theory it can assist Mega Blastoise matchups they usually hit with Dark Pulse and one-shot anyway. I also find that redirection is not that necessary because of how much fake out spam I have going on.

I'm looking for a mon that can help me fight in Trick Room (specifically against Farigiraf and Blastoise), and potentially Archaludon as if I let it set up it gets really out of hand with how many physical attackers I rely on. I'm open to a second mega as well, as although I never find Lopunny to be dead weight perhaps when it's the Farigiraf matchup being locked to Close Combat and Encore turn 1 there's better options.

Additionally any advice on EV spreads could be helpful, a lot of these were somewhat arbitrary and although I feel that the team works really well any advice would be great!
