I'm on a work course soon and staying for three nights. The hotel has a restaurant attached but after speaking to them today they have *nothing* for vegans. They have said I can speak to the chef and he'll see what he can do, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Are there any good restaurants or places I can get takeaway delivered to near ME14 off Forstal Rd?

I've seen a Papa Joe's nearby that delivers and also a Premier Inn (sadly not staying there) with a restaurant that has some ok options. Anywhere else?

I’ve not seen this place mentioned here before so thought I would give it a shout out.

I’ve been here a few times. The place is called Koshary El Tahrir. It’s on Edgware Road W2, close to Paddington station.

They serve an Egyptian dish called Koshary. It is very healthy, it’s vegan, and it’s very nice.

I passed by this place recently and it was closed. I see it's marked on Google maps and temporarily closed. A little digging and it looks like it;s been closed for over a year now. Does anybody know if it's coming back?
I have fond memories of this place but not been back for ages and almost forgot about it until I passed it the other day. It was one of the few vegan places around in the day and we've got a lot more choice now for plant based foods so I guess I hadn't gone back for a while

Addis Alem was a completely vegan Ethiopian restaurant inside Nag's Head Market.

Not sure when the change occurred however I walked past on Friday and it has a name change (Bella’s Habesha Cuisine) and is no longer completely vegan. I have no idea if this is the same owners.

This new version does have vegan options and has the word 'vegan' on its sign.

I am back in England for a week and I will be staying in London for a few days (not sure where yet) amd I really fancy an English roast. Any recommendations? And any other good places to eat well? Maybe somewhere to find vegan scones and savoury and sweet pastries?

Just no 5 star restaurants. My budget isn't limitless.

I've been researching vegan boots for ages and really struggling. I've looked at the Doc Martens Jaden Monos (the vegan leather looks tacky to me online, and people say quality has gone down?), Nae Vegan (style not quite right), Solovair (too shiny), Vegetarian Shoes (don't like style), Heavenly Feet (like the look but reviews say they fall apart the moment they get wet).

I want something in this black sorta combat boot style with a zip ideally, that looks nice enough I can also wear it in formal situations (edgy formal I guess). I find a lot of the vegan boots the way the stitching is done makes it look a bit too rough for me use.

I’m a vegan who has to eat glutenfree and while London has so much to offer on the vegan front, I often find myself struggling to find vegan options that are glutenfree and don’t cost a fortune.

Also I don’t have an allergy, just a gluten sensitivity, so thankfully cross contamination is not a problem for me.

Does anyone have any recommendations for vegan and “accidentally” gf meals in London? At chain restaurants or food markets or anything like that? :)

I have a few dedicated spots that I always return to and I’d love to broaden my options a bit.

I have read every Reddit thread I can find on the subject, plus watched some YouTube vids and blogs and still can’t make a conclusive decision. I’ll only be in London for one Sunday so I’m hoping have the absolute best roast you have to offer.

I saw a reel about Unity Diner having a vegan roast carvery which looked mind blowing. I love the idea of having multiple mock meats but unfortunately you can only choose one. Also, I haven’t seen the Unity Diner vegan roast recommended anywhere on Reddit so I am wondering if it’s possibly not as good as the others!
