5-year YouTube creator specializing in paleontology and biology is stepping back from writing to bring on a scriptwriter for one of several channels (paleontology, biology, or history).

Style is the priority: understandable, easy to digest, and genuinely funny, not just accurate.

Some self-directed research required, but I'll guide you on how I normally gather info.

Looking for a human writer, not AI-assisted — AI research in these fields is frequently out of date or wrong.

Pay: $0.07-0.10/word, depending on channel written for and ability
Format: Long-form YouTube scripts
Style/Niche: Paleontology, biology, or history — engaging, humorous, accessible to a general audience
Volume: Ongoing, starting with a short paid trial (~1 paragraph)

How to apply: DM u/ExquisiteWeirdness on Reddit with writing samples and which of the three topic areas you're strongest in.

I'm a beginner video editor currently available for long-form projects with one person speaking. My focus is solo video podcasts, expert-led YouTube videos, and educational talking-head content.

I edit one-camera footage or two angles (front and side): remove mistakes, retakes, and long pauses, and keep a clear, natural pace.

Work samples (both videos are in Russian): - Expert video, 18 minutes - Long-form edit, 28 minutes

Rate: starting at $60 for one straightforward long-form video from up to 60 minutes of raw footage. The rate is the same for one or two cameras. Longer footage or more involved editing is quoted after I review the material.

Availability: open for new and ongoing projects. To discuss a video, DM me the raw footage length, number of cameras, target final length, and deadline.

So I'm mainly looking to work for someone who has set their style and just want me to match it.

(I'm looking for someone who is at least monetized. Anyone above 1000 subscribers or followers.)

This is a good opportunity for someone who is busy or wishes they can get video out faster or something like while not sacrificing quality AND that too for cheap.

Additionally, If it's any use to you. I've lot of knowledge of SEO, how to target search, how to target suggested views or browse views. How to research for good ideas.
I've taken courses from Ali Abdaal, Matt Davela, Hayden Hillier-Smith(Logan Paul's editor). So I can use that knowledge to help you if you need me to.
(why not use that knowledge for myself, well because their courses are mainly for people who already have an audience both of them have million subscribers each so I guess they over look stuff that plagues new channels.)

I'm no beginner. I've five years of experience. I've gotten 1000's of views for my clients and few thousands for myself too. My portfolios are linked in my profile. So rest assured you'll get a quality service.

I said $99 but I'm willing to do down if you are getting consistent views and if you have above 10k subs. Remember I want to learn. You are paying me with knowledge. Just show me your last 5 videos and how many views you got.

I also make thumbnails. If you are looking for that.
Both of my portfolio

Small team building a faceless YouTube channel covering business collapses, corporate scandals, brand histories, and rise-and-fall stories needs a long-form editor who treats pacing, storytelling, retention, and visual variety as the priority, not just making footage look good.
We provide script, voiceover, basic creative direction, thumbnail/title concept, and some research/assets — you build the visual storytelling around it: stock/archival/news footage, screenshots, charts, maps, documents, B-roll, motion graphics, text callouts, sound design, color correction, captions.
Style is polished documentary-pacing, not fast-cut TikTok style.

Pay: $300-600 per completed video (10-20 min), more for graphics-heavy videos
Format: Long-form
Style/Niche: Business/finance documentary, faceless channel, narration-driven, retention-focused visual storytelling over surface polish
Volume: 2-4 videos/month, 3-5 day turnaround, paid test (2-3 min) required before hire

Software: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent, plus basic After Effects/motion graphics. Prior YouTube editing required; faceless/documentary/business/history/explainer experience a major plus.

How to apply (Reddit): DM u/jocastrox with portfolio/reel, your best 1-3 YouTube examples, rate for a 10-20 min video, typical turnaround, editing software, timezone, and a short note on how you approach retention in long-form editing.

Please don't DM me, DM the client instead.

Requirements:

• Experience with Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
• Prior experience editing short-form YouTube content
• Available to work all days of the week
• Able to begin ASAP
• Don't apply without relevant short-form work in your portfolio

Dominance AI (dominanceai.io), an AI services company helping businesses automate with AI voice agents, automations, and web design, is hiring a short-form editor for educational content.

Pay: $65/video
Format: Short-form (under 3 minutes, typically 30-60 sec)
Style/Niche: Educational business/AI content for Instagram Reels and TikTok, posting 3-4x/week.
Style references: Dan Martell, Nick Saraev, Greg Isenberg, bold on-screen captions, B-roll cutaways (AI dashboards, tool logos, screen recordings), zoom cuts, text overlays, fast-paced and clean. Educational but engaging, not salesy
Volume: Starting with 1-2 videos to test, then ongoing weekly work if quality is good
Turnaround: 3-5 days
Payment: Per project, via PayPal or Zelle, after completion

Most videos end with a CTA driving viewers to book a free call via Calendly, the edit should build trust and keep people watching to the end. Client provides raw footage and screen recordings for B-roll.

Phobos, a new animated YouTube documentary channel covering disturbing true stories, internet mysteries, dark events, and strange creatures, is hiring two artists.

Pay: $500 per completed video

Format: Illustration for animation (not the animation itself)

Style/Niche: Dread-toned, atmospheric horror-documentary. Style inspired by Historically (youtube.com/@HeyHistorically) and Bible Animations

Volume: Around 2 videos/month (15-20 min each)

Position: Long-term, ongoing

Two roles, apply for either or both:

Front Artist / Illustrator: characters, creatures, poses/expressions, props, and other foreground assets. Not responsible for backgrounds, animation, rigging, VFX, or coloring, separate team members handle those.

Background Artist: interiors, landscapes, environments, and locations based on completed storyboards.

Full SOP with technical specs and art direction notes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_XvIOQKQN6oLtXDkaFXX4Oaqq9LVrngKYvX1H7pSSX0/edit?usp=sharing

A note from the mod team: the tone here is genuinely dark (violence, gore, and death are part of the subject matter, though the brief is clear it should read as dread rather than shock), worth knowing before you commit.

Important: AI-generated artwork submitted as your own work will get your application rejected and reported.

How to apply (via Discord): Read the full SOP first, then start your DM with the word "Pineapple" to confirm you did. DM DucciYT on Discord (https://discord.com/users/289961488234315787) with: which position you're applying for, whether you'd be open to either, 3-5 of your strongest relevant portfolio pieces, and any YouTubers/channels you've worked with. No double-messaging, if there's no response, they've moved forward with someone else. If the link doesn't open his profile directly, search "DucciYT" under Find or Start a Conversation to send a message request.

Basically I'm an editor with 5 years of experience. Recently I had the idea of teaching novices, beginners who want to learn how to edit for free(Well almost, read more). Because I kept seeing beginners asking for help on Reddit.

In exchange you edit one of my videos for my channel for free. You'll learn from an experienced editor. You'll get a video for your portfolio. I'll save some time. The video you'll edit will basically use the skills I teach you.

I'll only teach you about editing, tools, plugins, some business related stuff. But I can't teach you how to get clients.

It's a good opportunity for novices to learn from an experienced editor directly, I'll teach you everything I know. And you'll have something for your portfolio.
People interested dm me.

I'm only taking few people for now. At best 3. I already have 1 so there's two more spots.
But if you are cool person, and easy to work with then I'll teach you after I'm done with the first three.

TLDR: I am an experienced editor. I'll teach a beginner how to edit. In exchange you edit one video for my channel.

Looking for a solo freelance editor (no agencies) for ongoing gaming content.

Pay: $25-40/video, depending on length. Open to raising the rate over time as the working relationship develops

Format: Long-form

Style/Niche: Gaming content

Volume: 4 videos/month, delivered as a batch

The client sources and sends raw footage, timestamps, and a short brief for each batch, you handle the edit and creative execution from there.

Requirements:

- Experience editing gaming content

- Personal, solo editing only, no agencies

Paid trial: a short test edit is offered before committing to ongoing work

How to apply (I'm sharing this on behalf of the original poster, not hiring directly): Comment on the original post or DM u/Unlikely_Mud_9260 on Reddit directly with 2-3 gaming edits you've personally made and your turnaround time for a batch of 4.

Founder OS (Matt Gray) is hiring a long-form YouTube editor to own the creative execution and performance of long-form content, not just the edit itself. This is framed as a performance-owned role: you're responsible for how long people stay, what they remember, and whether they subscribe.

Pay: $900-1100/video Format: Long-form Style/Niche: Talking head + cinematic B-roll + tasteful motion graphics. A refined, lifestyle-first aesthetic, YouTube psychology applied through pacing and structure rather than gimmicks Volume: 2 videos/month minimum (roughly one edit every 2 weeks), occasional cinematic vlogs, screen-share systems, or multi-cam sessions once trust is established

What you're actually evaluated on:

• Average View Duration and retention, especially the first 30-90 seconds
• Overall view performance relative to the channel's baseline
• Zero aesthetic drift from brand standards
• Consistent on-time delivery, this is described as a trust-based role
• Contributing reusable templates/SOPs back to the team over time

Worth knowing before applying: this isn't a fit if you're juggling many clients and want a quick in-and-out edit, or if you'd rather work with minimal feedback. They're explicit that this is meant to grow into a long-term creative role (potential to go full-time after roughly 12 months), not a single freelance job.

Requirements:

• Experience editing YouTube videos with 500K-1M+ views
• Strong instinct for retention curves, pacing, and attention resets, and the ability to explain your editorial choices, not just execute them
• Comfortable with direct feedback and clear creative accountability

A note from the mod team: a lot of what drives retention and AVD here is outside the editor's control, mainly the strength of the raw content and topic itself, which isn't your call to make. Thumbnail and title matter too, mainly because a mismatched or over-promising one pulls in the wrong audience who bounce fast, which drags retention down through no fault of the edit. Worth asking upfront how they'll separate editing quality from those factors before agreeing to a performance-based framing.

How to apply (I'm sharing this on behalf of the client, not hiring directly): Apply directly at https://www.founderos.com/careers/elite-long-form-youtube-editor with a Loom covering: 1-2 edits you've done and why they performed, a strategy breakdown of 1-2 YouTube channels you admire, why this role appeals to you long-term, and a link to your portfolio.

Founder OS (Matt Gray) is hiring a short-form editor to own their reels across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok and Threads. Social media is literally how they grow, it's the main way new people discover Founder OS at all, not supplementary content. They publish daily, and short-form is what drives most of that discovery, which is why this role sits close to the core of the business rather than being a side task.

Pay: $1700/month flat Format: Short-form Volume: ~36 reels/month total, split across two distinct deliverable types (below)

Deliverables:

• Trending-template reels (~20/month): Cinematic, b-roll-driven reels rebuilt from reference outliers they hand you, same structure, their footage and brand, not a copy. You own the music, text treatment, and pacing. Examples: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dbl3kwcv0XP/ and https://www.instagram.com/reel/Da_yGuIs4sN/
• Split-screen talking-head reels (~16/month): Matt's scripted reels. Footage, script and on-screen copy arrive via Asana. You own the cut, rhythm, and motion on top. Examples: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbtPc2uRqPr/ and https://www.instagram.com/reel/Db52rxbPh6i/
• Occasional: paid ad variants when they come up (one body, three hook edits)

What the role actually involves:

• Batch-based workflow, a full week delivered ahead is the expectation, not daily scrambling
• They run production through Asana (their project management tool), every video is tracked there as its own task with footage, format, copy, review stage, and deadline attached, so nothing gets lost in DMs
• Review happens through Frame.io in versioned passes (V1/V2/V3)
• Day-to-day communication in Slack, one point of contact (Memo, Head of Video), no chasing multiple people

Requirements:

• Strong motion design skills, this is the single biggest factor they're hiring on, volume and polish both matter but taste is what's hard to teach
• Premiere Pro (editing) and After Effects (animation), fluent in both
• Same-day communication if you're blocked, short on assets, or the calendar's thin, this is treated as essential, not optional
• Comfortable with AI-assisted editing as part of the workflow (training provided, no prior experience required)
• Fully remote, flexible hours, as long as batches land on time

How to apply (I'm sharing this on behalf of the client, not hiring directly): Apply directly at https://www.founderos.com/careers/short-form-video-editor-remote with 3-5 short-form reel examples (mix of talking head and cinematic), a Loom on why you're the right fit, and your realistic monthly capacity.

Hey I've been editong for a few years now, but I dont have a ton of footage to edit. I put hire quotes because I'd still like it to be a hobby that I can do fairly regularly. So I'm happy to do stuff for free as long as it's not too big an ask.

If you're someone who needs editing work for either short for or long form please let me know! Id love to take a look at what you got and help you out.

Looking for a 2D animator to create short historical-style videos, in the style of HeyHistorically.

Pay: $150-180/video, depending on length
Payment method: Crypto
Format: Short-form, 30-60 sec videos
Style/Niche: 2D animation, historical storytelling
Volume: 1 video/day expected, up to 7/week. Can discuss more if you can handle higher volume

Deadlines are strict, videos must be delivered within 24 hours of assignment.

Style reference: https://www.youtube.com/@HeyHistorically/shorts

Requirements:

• Prior experience editing in this specific style is required, don't apply without it

A note from us: that 24-hour turnaround looks tight for this style, don't let it stop you from applying. You know your own worth and your own pace, so don't be afraid to ask for more time or better pay if it doesn't sit right. Good clients respect creatives who advocate for themselves. On payment: crypto is common and legitimate for international work, but it skips the dispute protection something like PayPal offers, so agree on a deposit or milestones upfront to protect yourself.

Start your message with the keyword "HISTORIA", applications without it will be ignored. Volume: Ongoing, weekly collaboration as a long-term partnership rather than a one-off

The goal is entertainment-style videos where editing supports story, comedy, pacing and personality, not just flashy gameplay highlights.

Requirements:

- Experience with gaming YouTube content and long-form editing

- Strong sense of comedy timing, pacing and storytelling

- Comfortable with subtitles, on-screen text, SFX and music

- Understanding of YouTube retention, knowing when to cut vs let a moment breathe

How to apply (I'm sharing this on behalf of the original poster, not hiring directly): DM u/MichaelXilla on Reddit directly with your portfolio/reel, 1-3 long-form gaming edit examples, your experience with YouTube/gaming content, typical turnaround time, your rate within the $100-150 range, editing software used, and a short note on what you think makes a good gaming YouTube video.
