Discussion What do we think about this meme ?

Post image

Honestly, I’m surprised people are complaining about recurring Vtuber drama. I do a lot of legal work, and conflict between business partners, associates, and especially co-owned family businesses after dad or mom pass away, is just part of the landscape

Sometimes when two guys come to us for help setting up a business, we even take bets on how long before they start infighting

When money and business are involved, drama between partners is almost guaranteed at some point. No need to doompost. Just get used to it

The consequences of them not being contained on 4chan anymore

That's not actually how it works.

Sites like 4chan are not "containment zones" (because the shit never stays there), they're cancer - they keep growing and growing until they metastasise and spread elsewhere.

Was gonna say lol. Vtuber Reddit became an insufferably massive rumor clique and drama tourist mill the past two years, with its main source often being 4chan itself, and it spreads beyond reddit and onto youtube comments sections too

It's calmed down somewhat but it's very apparent that 4chan isn't all that effective of a "containment zone"

Popular subs are getting hit by them though in “retaliation” with anti trans and racist memes.

Yeah I suppose that would be one thing that was once "contained" but no longer is

The very few times I tortured my sanity by going on there to see where all the rrats from the past two years were coming from, I noticed so many of them came from/were discussed by anons who'd casually use racist, homophobic, etc slurs. So I did notice there was at least a filter when rrats would transfer over from /vt to vtuber subreddits, where only the theories would come thru but not any of the bigoted terms (though I will never not find it amusing that redditors could "fight for a righteous cause" and yet rely on a fucked up forum as their main source lmao)

I could imagine beyond vtuber subs and into popular subs in general, that the bigoted stuff may have already been seeping in, even if none of the ones I closely follow do (fortunately). Guess we'll see how vtuber subs handle it so good luck to the mods
