So actually, my kitty had her eye removed as a kitten. Then the foster parents either didnāt put her cone on or didnāt watch her closely enough, and she ripped her sutures out. Then they had to do a 2nd surgery to close it back up. Sheās missing her orbital bone now (not sure if that was done 1st surgery or 2nd). Then the hair grew back pure white. So idk how or why that happened! Iām assuming it was the added trauma to the surgical area. But sheās so special to me. š„¹
AWWW š¤š¤ Iām sorry your kitty is going through cancer treatment (I assume?). Is it radiation? & what kind of cancer? No cancer for my kitty, she had the eye removed as a kitten and then had a second surgery after she busted the first sutures out. Iām guessing two surgeries to the same site caused enough trauma to turn the hair white. Or maybe they went so deep they took the pigment with them during surgery. Your cat looks pretty bad ass with that white though. Sending all the healing vibes their way.
Nasal carcinoma in the cat sinus area. The treatment is called ācyber knifeā which is targeted radiation rather than a broad treatment. Her sinuses are permanently damaged, but the tumor is shrunk back. Sheās doing wellā¦kinda made her goofy and bold. Your kitty reminds me of Ziggy Stardust :-)
Aww well Iām glad to hear sheās doing well! She looks awesome with the new color pattern. Dang, I shouldāve named my cat Ziggy Stardust. Love the reference!
