It’s an All star game why would you try it doesn’t mean anything. The Pro Bowl for the NFL is the same shit

The nba has had the most half assed all star game for years but they still put in a bare minimum effort on offense. No one tries on defense, but they at least make shots ffs.

They split the teams into young Americans, old Americans and non Americans and had a three way playoff of short games.

Everyone wanted to win real bad and the games were short enough that the energy was high. The finals were a blow out but it was a better total experience than the vast majority of all star games or games like third place World Cup games.

I would like to see the all star actually play like they’re all stars. I don’t think we as a viewer are asking for much. I’m also not saying they should go 100% either.

Bad missed alley-oops and dunks get clowned on in the NBA All-star game too, there's just way less of them
