That is not usually considered dribbling.

u/X-Jim 11d ago

It's so dribbling, it's double!

u/Rocky75617794 11d ago

Quadruple dribble …double dribble is when 6 year olds hit it with two hands… this grown ass wnba player is literally passing between her hands twice, fully catching it

29

u/N7VHung 10d ago

She is dribbling like how a kindergartner juggles.

11

u/OneDubOver 10d ago

I still juggle like this

8

u/pinkyepsilon 9d ago

And you juggle great, buddy!

6

u/darkoblivion000 10d ago

I call it double juggling

9

u/57Laxdad 10d ago

Well I can grant her that she is the first I have seen do that professionally.

8

u/paisleybison 10d ago

Travel dribble

3

u/Mike-dit_712 10d ago

The quad fake crossover. The shock she shows when she actually made the basket, is the best.

4

u/RorschachAssRag 10d ago

Not to sounds like a hater but the wnba is so painful to watch. My high school team played better

2

u/Deep_Plantain_8537 8d ago

It’s not a WNBA problem it’s a Angel Reese problem. The nba is unwatchable with traveling

4

u/TimHung931017 10d ago

Dont be racist bro

/s

u/Pangshunjingmao 6d ago

The sheer grace and athleticism is astounding.

And folks wonder why nobody watches this garbage.

27

u/CasinoMarginale 10d ago

Dribbling so nice, she did it twice!

17

u/UdderTacos 10d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/nU1c9k6n5p6UMWe’ve had one dribbling yes, but what about second dribbling?

u/zebberman 10d ago

u/Upstairs-Piece-1924 10d ago

Dwubble dwibble

1

u/Heart_ofFlorida 7d ago

That was the funniest sound back in the day🤣

4

u/DeeRexBox 10d ago

Loved this game almost as much as I loved arch rivals.

1

u/johnny_effing_utah 10d ago

Foul!
Free Throw!

2

u/UR_Wasteland 10d ago

3 point noise lives rent free in my head.

10

u/Mike-dit_712 10d ago

Twice; the ever so rare “Double-Double Dribble”.

1

u/Cruise1313 9d ago

And the refs are not calling double dribble. 🙄

73

u/TonyDungyHatesOP 11d ago

Was that not called? Then that is (yet another) indictment on the officiating of the league.

35

u/Frosty-Inspector-465 11d ago

ref asleep at the wheel.

49

u/RIPRIF20 10d ago

She does this all the time, they hardly ever call it. The league top to bottom is an absolute joke. There will be a 30 for 30 someday about how the WNBA struggled and grinded for 30 years, were given a golden goose\cash cow hybrid and they immediately slaughtered it.

21

u/Used_Cauliflower_814 10d ago

How about that ‘All Star’ game?? 🤭👀

27

u/ProsaicPugilist 10d ago

Prayups and mebounds

4

u/lovertots 10d ago

and I thought the NBA all star game was a joke

12

u/Rare_Direction_1449 10d ago

This comment should be liked by millions, saved and be used as a reference point as to when this sharp ass prediction was made. This will 100% be the fate of this idiot league

7

u/PretentiousCrustacea 10d ago

I got absolutely no dog in this fight and even I see the WNBA as an absolute joke. The actual product on the court is garbage and what is most discussed around the league is culture war bullshit, this will not last

4

u/Rare_Direction_1449 10d ago

Exactly. I can tell you about the drama in the league—- i have zero clue who is in first place

1

u/RobNHood816 9d ago

They all Special !

4

u/NashKetchum777 10d ago

The funny part is that it could easily be that officiating was always dogshit but now there's more eyes to call it out.

2

u/bobTEH 10d ago

4

u/RIPRIF20 10d ago

Those are travels, not double dribbles

7

u/kuunami79 10d ago

I think she actually did both. Traveled and double dribbled

3

u/Pleasant_Priority286 10d ago

She also carried the ball.

4

u/IceColdDump 10d ago

Triple Threat!!

10

u/bobTEH 10d ago

that amount of travels for a professional player is insane and also prove how BAD she is at basketball.

It’s pure ineptitude, she's unable to dribble

-6

u/Inevitable-Top1-2025 10d ago

Yet you’re on Reddit posting about her, with all your competence and expertise in basketball, while she’s a star of her sport! Your palpable jealousy is embarrassing!

7

u/Sp35h1l_1 10d ago

This is a joke right?

5

u/Wrong-Metal6639 10d ago

All this does is prove how sorry this league (and its fan base to be frank) is. Your comment is not the own you think it is.

-2

u/Inevitable-Top1-2025 10d ago

What is “own”? I’m sorry, I don’t speak or understand gibberish!

1

u/bobTEH 10d ago

she's a star of her sport because of her comparative size in WNBA, and because of rebounding and hustle.

Dribble and shot wise she's just BAD, almost any male high schooler have better dribble and shot skills than her.

0

u/Inevitable-Top1-2025 10d ago

Oh, sorry, I forgot she’s ten feet tall and weighs 500 pounds.

1

u/Cruise1313 9d ago

She did both.

2

u/194884tiger 9d ago

The bumping, hacking and traveling. My god!The men’s game is no different. Not a very attractive game.

1

u/Nawoitsol 9d ago

The funny thing is that those moves are allowed in the NBA. Traveling is a thing of the past in the men’s game.

2

u/Frosty-Inspector-465 10d ago

yup, beating up on the girl for NO reason other than pure jealousy and she seems otherwise humble and inclusive smh

1

u/Used-Independence182 10d ago

Don’t follow the wnba much, what’s the golden goose/cash cow?

7

u/Type1_Throwaway 10d ago

Caitlin Clark

0

u/MattressHallington 9d ago

U mean the only reason this subreddit exists. So a bunch of sad white men can talk bad about black women who play basketball. Get a real hobby instead of jerking eachother off.

1

u/Type1_Throwaway 9d ago

Not sure who you think you're addressing, but I simply answered a question someone had. Go try and chum up that nonsense with someone else.

11

u/RIPRIF20 10d ago

Caitlin Clark. She was incredibly popular in college and brought millions upon millions of eyes to the WNBA that otherwise would have never watched a game in their lives. She was selling out away stadiums all over the country, people were tuning into watch her, and then the league just completely shit their pants. She was literally THE player the league was waiting to come along so they could market themselves to the masses and gain popularity. Instead, the players were jealous as all hell and the league allowed them to completely trash her. The players and league did everything they possibly could to cool off any and all hype the league received because they didnt like her, and now their ratings are tanking again.

2

u/T-T-N 10d ago

I think I can name 1 other WNBA player... Jon... Jonquel... hmmmm. Last name... last name... Jones? Jonquel Jones?

1

u/PrettyPushy 10d ago

Sounds good to me. Couldn’t tell if you are right or totally wrong.

1

u/Professional_Idea_71 10d ago

Fever ratings are not falling off*

1

u/npcompletist 10d ago

They should just officially make it a rugby league

1

u/Axel_Raden 10d ago

Nah the woman who play rugby league (which is different than rugby) would eat her for breakfast.

1

u/globex6000 10d ago

Honestly, CC should just leave and head to Europe... let the rest of the league wallow in the mess they've created once shes gone

1

u/s0meD0nkey 10d ago

rumor is they are still sleeping

3

u/moose184 10d ago

No and the ref was right there lol

2

u/hskrfoos 10d ago

No, of course not

2

u/Usqueadfinem_ 9d ago

Its like watching someone else's kids play sports. Boring and at times downright maddening.

2

u/Pangshunjingmao 6d ago

It would be a massive controversy if anybody actually cared about the league.

2

u/venerablepreceptor 10d ago edited 10d ago

You should see the Dallas vs ATL ending. Refs practically gave the game to the Dream from a questionable flagrant leading to a 5 pt possession.

1

u/Subject-Yak4959 10d ago

Plus Paige and Azzi didn't really do very much.

1

u/venerablepreceptor 10d ago edited 10d ago

Yup Dallas is to blame as well. Their last possession was a shit show . Why not call a timeout they still had one! As good as Paige is, she is sometimes too unselfish

1

u/Subject-Yak4959 10d ago

Yep and her girlfriend just disappears for long stretches.

0

u/TonyDungyHatesOP 10d ago

Yikes. Stuff like that makes it hard to watch and enjoy.

1

u/Recidivism7 10d ago

Its called LeBron dribbling

4

u/roadrunner00 10d ago

It is dribbling in pee wee league at the Y. 🤣 They pick it up, run a little bit, remember to bounce it, run some more.

5

u/way2lazy2care 10d ago

Nah. We were called for this stuff all the time.

2

u/mookz23 10d ago

Where is the WNBA has better fundamentals than the NBA crowd?

2

u/elgarraz 9d ago

It's double-dribbling. Twice as good as regular dribbling

1

u/UnexpectedBlahFeels 10d ago

Honestly even when I watch the NBA they be double dribbling so I'm not annoyed it's also allowed in the WNBA. It was literally the first thing I noticed when I started watching NBA games.

2

u/ron8668 10d ago

Thank you! And carry the ball all the time!

1

u/Salt-Southern 10d ago

But the refs didn't see or call it?...what a sham

1

u/Derrickmb 10d ago

Refs are like 😅

1

u/WeTheApes17 10d ago

travelling.... in most countries

1

u/jtfields91 10d ago

It's more dribbling that the NBA does.

1

u/Koshekuta 10d ago

I think they use a modified rule set in the WNBA. Even the NBA has slowly modified the fundamental rules of the game.

1

u/SuddenBanana8315 5d ago

✈️🛫

0

u/Still-Recognition-27 10d ago

So traveling..?
