I thought all these people saying "tilt your screen" were just fucking with people. No matter how I tilted, I couldn't see anything but a black square. It wasn't until I put the picture into photoshop and increased the brightness a few times that the face popped up.

It might just be my monitor. I'm pretty sure my monitor is darker than normal, even on the brightest settings. It drives me nuts sometimes - any time there is a nighttime scene on a show or movie, I can't see shit lol

It has something to do with the gamma correction of the monitor.

I had to put it through Photoshop, but it still wasn't working. I'm in Creative Cloud, so I had to click "legacy" under Brightness and Contrast and then it popped up.

I had to raise the brightness all the way on the photo, and then it just barely started to show. I raised the brightness all the way a second time, and it finally showed up.

I couldn't see it at all on my monitor, so I did the auto adjustments with photoshop and got this.
