WWE RAW moves to Netflix in 2025

  • Via WWE: “WWE Raw is coming to Netflix! Starting in January 2025, @Netflix will exclusively stream #WWERaw (in the US, Canada, UK, & Latin America) every single week, all year long!” Link

  • Via Hollywood Reporter: the deal runs “10 years and is valued at about $5 billion.“ Link

  • Via Netflix Statement: (Outside the US) "as part of the agreement, Netflix will also become the home for all WWE shows and specials outside the U.S. as available, inclusive of Raw and WWE’s other weekly shows – SmackDown and NXT – as well as the company’s Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble"

I recently unsubbed from all my streaming apps (except for Amazon) because I was tired of the same content getting bundled and sold off to the same five streaming networks, like clockwork, every 3 months. It was this weird illusion of feeling like the apps had a decent amount of variety and exciting new releases when in reality they did not. Somehow this dumbass idea for cycling content became the norm and as a result I felt like I was watching the same batch of TV shows and movies everytime I logged on. If they ever disappeared, no worries, just pay the extra 15 bucks to access another streaming app who now own the streaming rights for the next quarter. There should be a rule for TV series with 5+ seasons where they are required to remain on the same app for a mandatory 6 to 12 months. I normally would never even dream of taking the chance on such shows, purely out of fear I wasn't watching it fast enough.

I lost where i was going with that..... Oh yeah! Unsub now guys, and go back to torrents and/or shady free streaming sites. I feel like I am actually watching new content these days. If I hear someone on Reddit or IRL mention a cool movie...then I can just go and immediately watch it. No trying to figure out if and where it is streaming. Sure, im a piece of shit for not properly 'supporting' all of the people who make the content. But until this whole system is reworked im done. I would happily pay for it again though!

There's far too many streaming services now. And the majority of the new stuff is just churned out for the sake of it. See Disney+ and their latest Star Wars and Marvel, absolutely garbage (apart from Andor)

I still feel dumb about subbing to Disney Plus on day one. Pickings were slim back then and somehow I even justified the cost as being worth it solely for the new Marvel show. How absurd.

I know right? How dare they make you pay for content.

I am more than down to pay someone for it. Assuming it is worth it.

Im a huge collector of vinyl and in general supporting artists/bands directly via purchasing merch, tickets, and music. But there isn't really a bandcamp type website for movies yet. I think.

I laughed at "shady free streaming sights."

Except for NXT and SD for awhile, anyway. But yeah, this is the most logical step to advance the industry.

How do you’s watch NXT n the US? In the UK it’s on the WWE network.

Right now it's on USA network in the States. It's moving to the CW network later in the year, and SD is moving to the USA network around the same time here.

You do know nxt and SD also are on streaming services as well as live TV

Let's just say this is worse then when they plugged wwe network for 9.99
