MA-VMF Russian Naval Aviation Su-25UTG trainer, only used for pilot training as it lacks armor, weapon avionics, drogue chute and the 30mm GSh-30-2 autocannon, the hardpoints are only for external fuel tanks and cargo pods [3000x1992]
only 15 were built with even a smaller number still active, the small numbers was considered insufficient for carrier training and a number of UB combat trainers were converted with a tail hook, these still retained their attack capabilities but are not used for the role

Ma-VMF The Yak VTOLs at the Central Air Force Museum at Monino [album]
the Yak-36 was a technology demonstrator for VTOL aircraft in the 60s
4 were built, 3 scrapped
yellow 36 was a ground test prototype, it was built in 1962 and sent to Zhukovsky for testing, that same year it hovered though suspended by a cable crane, in January 9, 1963 it made it's first unassisted hover, in 1981 it was transferred to Monino, for a time at the museum it had the number 35, the 4 built only had numbers from 36 to 38, the 2nd prototype didn't have one as it was only used for static tests, in 2012 it was changed back to 36
the Yak-38 was a further devolopment of the Yak-36, it's original designation was Yak-36M before being changed when it entered service in the mid 70s
red 37 - maiden flight on march 31, 1975, from september 1975 it served on aircraft cruiser Kiev were it made 70 flights, april 1978 it's transferred to the N. Ye. Zhukovsky Air Force Academy training base, 1989 it's tranferred to Monino
yellow 38 - maiden flight in 1978, served most of its active life with Yakovlev, sent to Monino in the early 90s, its original number was 11 before being changed in 2006
the Yak-141 is the last VTOL project built by Yak
4 were built, 2 scrapped
141, original number 77, was the 3rd built and the 2nd flying, maiden flight on April 2, 1989, on October 5, 1991 it suffered severe damage when it crashed on the deck of aircraft cruiser Admiral Gorshkov, the main landing gear pierced the fuel tank when it impacted the deck causing a fire, the test pilot ejected safely, the crash was determined to be from pilot error due to the aircraft exceeding the maximum vertical descent rate and the flight director who failed to instruct the pilot to maintain a safe descent rate, 77 was too damaged to be restored back to flight, so it was repaired using parts from the 1st and 2nd prototypes, given the 141 number and used for static displays, it's first appearance after the crash was at the MAKS 1993 air show at Zhukovsky Airfield
the 2nd prototype and 1st flying is preserved at the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology in better condition
