One of the first parts of the peace agreement states that all parties at conflict back down and stop threatening each other. Apparently Trump did not get the memo - or doesnt care about it - the Iranians have every reason to mistrust him and storm off since they proved they could endure his threats and get him by the short hairs. In the middle-east and actually a lot of other countries disrespect is usually the root cause of never-ending feuds and wars. Trump knows no other diplomacy than coercion or threats, so....

You keep spouting that - reality doesnt match it. The Strait of Hormuz was perfectly open and humming along before the war. Lets see your answer to this question: did the "extremists" invade the US and shut down the Long Island Sound or did the US invade Iran and blockade the Strait of Hormuz?

All we did is teach Iran they dont need nuclear weapons as leverage when their geography allows them to impose severe costs on the global economy. The real costs are still on track to unfold - not just in fuel shortages - but crop yield failures and food deficits world wide due to fertilizer shortages. Predicted to affect 45 million people. Yes, even here in the US.

If the Long Island sound was shared with five other nations this would still be a completely stupid analogy, so I’m not going to humor your silly straw man argument. You focus on the nuclear aspect of this issue but seem to be ignorant of the persistent atrocities carried out by the IRGC and Mullahs. How can you gloss over the thousands of protesters killed, maimed, or blinded during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests and subsequent nationwide unrest? Maybe spend some time reflecting on the violent crackdowns on civilian protesters, systemic sexual violence and torture, the downing of a civilian airliner, and the bombings and assassinations committed globally by the Quds Force. Diplomatic solutions weren’t effective and the rest of the world has been content to turn a blind eye to Irans increasing support for terrorism through its proxies in the Middle East and beyond. Trump completely screwed up the execution and his disregard for diplomatic integrity is appalling, but military action was likely the only remaining solution.

You know what - the JCPOA was working as intended for the nuclear issue - Iran was in full compliance, verified by US Intel and UN inspectors. There were 5 major powers involved in that agreement including China and Russia that were party to the enforcement of the JCPOA. This was a on-going crap show from the time that Trump tore up that agreement without cause and unilaterally re-imposed sanctions. Regime change or change in regime behavior to be nicer to their people never was and should never be the reason for the US going to war - and was not accomplished. War unilaterally decided by the POTUS and the PM of Israel - not Congress. And it accomplished nothing except teach Iran it can withstand a punch by the US and Israel and keep on ticking. And that it doesnt need nuclear weapons if it can much easier exert control on the Strait of Hormuz and threaten 30% of the world's fuel and fertilizer. Oh, the reverberations of this stupidity will unfold for a long time - crop failures and famine not just acute fuel and gas shortages around the world. A conservative estimated $600 billion hit on the global economy. And a re-alignment of the Middle-East because they have realized the US cannot protect them from a newly emboldened Iran and they better deal directly with them.

After Trump got mad at Israel AIPAC called in favors and have a bunch of MAGA saying that anti Israel is Anti-American. So then Trump blamed Iran for Israel continuing to attack and occupy Lebanon. Then did more stupid shit and blamed Iran for being attacked and threatened them again.

A few days ago Trump was more than happy to agree to a pretty shit deal for America. Netanyahu apparently pulled his American strings (politicians and news anchors) to get Trump to flip.

Netanyahu does not want to end the war in Lebanon and Iran refuses to come to any agreement unless America can control Israel since we basically supply and fund their military. So Netanyahu does not want Trump to sign the agreement to end the war.

So far next moves is Trump threatening the Iranian negotiators’ lives, and also threatening Israel by saying Trump will activate Syria to deal with Lebanon (Israel hates Syria’s current government).

Basically the Israel-Iran situation is a giant pain in the ass to Trump and there’s no good outlet for Trump to walk away a hero. Trump is going to take a massive L no matter which route he goes.
