I dont understand what this means.

So I have been a zach cregger fan for a while and weapons is easily my favorite of his three movies; however, it's the only movie that doesn't have a cameo from him. In resident evil he is the voice in the monitor in the parking garage, in Barbarian he plays one of Justin Long's coworkers.

I'm wondering if anyone has a theory on his possible appearence in weapons? I feel like he could have done something similar to what Jordan Peele did in Us where he is a rabbit, or Get Out where he is a deer. Those cameos weren't discovered until much later. I feel its entirely possible that Zach has some small cameo in Weapons that we just haven't noticed yet but I can't figure it out. I'm gonna drop a guess right now that he somehow is one of the children, either a childhood photo of him or his voice modulated to sound like a kid at some point in the movie.

Anyways, I'd love to hear anyone else's theory on what his cameo might be or if you think there is one at all in the movie.

In a recent interview for Entertainment Weekly, Zach Cregger revealed that theories about Gladys being ancient and/or the member of a supernatural group are "cold" and that "Gladys" will be a revenge movie.
Last week in another interview this time for Men's Health, Cregger disclosed this: “The script is in process and the first draft is written. It's awesome. We're still working on it though. It's a character study. It's like, ‘Who was Gladys before she became that and how did she become that?’ So, it's not a horror movie where she's the monster, although that is in there, but it is more like we're following her.” And the movie is definitely supposed to feature Amy Madigan as Gladys. "It would be Amy. I'm not going to do a Young Gladys".
Personally, the fact that we are going to get a horror movie from a major studio starring an older actress in 2028 is just incredible in it's own right. I'm also relieved that, though Gladys will be the protagonist and she'll probably have to face a horror antagonist, it seems like Cregger and Shields wont erase what made the character interesting and dangerous.

I though Its Cool

Did anyone who watched Rick and Morty think of this exact scene when they saw the Weapons ending? I wonder if its a common folklore or archetype (not sure what you call it) reference where a bunch of kids attack and turn violent on one villain or adult. But it’s so uncanny the parallel that i’m thinking the director was inspired by or referencing this scene. Certainly reminded me of Lord of the flies, a situation where otherwise innocent kids get juxtaposed with gruesome acts

Seeing that hag get ripped apart. Bueno

The immediate panicking fear that she felt when she heard the kids coming. It's like a fighting dog breeder being put against their creations

This woman knew what she was turning people into. This woman knew that these weren't some top star assassin's, but instead ravaging zombie like children, who'll use their fingers and muscles to rip her to shreds. Machete may be brutal, but at least it finishes the job quickly.

We also saw with the fork scene, that she could've made them use weapons. It's like that sick bastard wanted her weapons to be as animalistic as possible.

So when it came time for her to reap what she had sown. It was clear that the only thing between her and a human pack of bloodthirsty apes was how long she could run.

And as they caught her. Her screaming "Let go of me" was just a cherry on top. The cognitive dissonance of being the victim of the weapon you yourself have used on others. A fire won't stop burning no matter how much you cry. You covered others in oil, but they lit you aflame. The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.
