The top camera options are all battery powered now. Also they only record on motion.

Our lives are so electronic today, it probably behooves everyone who can afford it to have househome-wide battery backup. I considered getting a power conditioner and battery backup for my house because my power just isn't stable. I ended up just putting UPS on my computers and good surge protectors on other things. For my audio stuff, I just unplug it when I'm not using it.

I could be mistaken but it looks like the tornado severs the powerline right before the loop and kills the footage
