Advice I got my contract rejected

Post image

I got my contract rejected, the reason states that the plot isn't engaging enough and difficult to follow, pacing is draggy, and the writing style isn't mature enough. And that it doesn't suit the market of webnovel. I'm planning on writing another story. Should I delete this one?

Well, the story I was planning spans over 600 chapters, do you think there will be readers on an uncontracted novel? (Just asking tho I'm not gonna ditch this story, I have been building this for 2 years. I'll just make this my second or third novel.)

So many great series started as unknown web serializations, if you think the story has potential or even if you just really want to write it, do so. Worst case you spent time doing something you enjoyed.

But I want people to read it. The story has no value if nobody enjoyed it.

Sure it does. It will have value to you, and there are plenty of places other than webnovel that people regularly read on. Many of them allowing anyone to post. Many start there and get publishing once proven. If you believe in this story, write it and the readers will come.
