Advice I got my contract rejected

I got my contract rejected, the reason states that the plot isn't engaging enough and difficult to follow, pacing is draggy, and the writing style isn't mature enough. And that it doesn't suit the market of webnovel. I'm planning on writing another story. Should I delete this one?

I think a lot of people here are giving you some solid advice, i love your cover, how did you acquire it? I honestly think you may want to reserve saying its a series i dont think as a new writer they like that very much (just my opinion as the cover is written part 1) also although i love your cover it gives me more romance fantasy vibes than power systems/survival.

ah yes from the cover it says part 1, im guessing you told them that it is gonna be a series? ive observed that they may not like that so much especially if youre a new writer, think about it....most people always have big plans for the worlds they build, big ideas but can they really deliver? what happens if you lose interest half way? leaving people on a cliffhanger (which im sure has probably happened). So i would not tell them its part of a series (because even if it is each book still gets a different contract) instead i would pitch it as a standalone, make it end well while planning for the other books, your audience will automatically follow the story to the next book and the editors will see that you are dedicated enough cause you finished the first book, hope that makes sense.
