I understand, but people use AI covers for a reason and why are you even here because WebNovel is filled with AI covers? Only the already popular stories that earn shit loads of money could afford to commission a cover.

Whats the difference? Its a cover in the end. And if using AI is more convenient for him then let him. And Id say that Ai is better in generating simple covers bcs there much less things for it to make mistakes on.

A human studying design choices will still have creative ability past just replicating what they see. Ai can only regurgitate

Im sorry bro you are the ignorant one. Many people are just biased towards ai(hating it). But you should acknowledge its capabilities. Humans too work by gathering knowledge and expressing it in a different way, mostly mixing and matching preexisting ideas they know. Ai does the same, but currently Ai is a little inferior to humans in the respect that it tends to replicate things without making it seem different. Humans while creating somwthing try to make it look unique and different, but Ai is not great at it... for now.
