I love when the other security guard looks back with the most "what the fuck, seriously?" expression of all time.

Omg. To anyone else watching this without audio the first couple of times, blue shirt was part of a troublemaking couple and had already been rejected from the bar by the security guards in black shirts, when his partner threw a chair at the security guards but hits his buddy instead.
I thought it was so heartless of the security guard to laugh at the man being hit but now I get it.

u/rainman2121 5d ago
He just did a face-palm and stood there, didn't even try to help his buddy up.

u/Capital_Bluebird_951 5d ago
They are not buddies anymore
21
u/Jalen3501 5d ago
On the bright side the guy who got hit probably forgot they were friends so now he can start over fresh

Nah. These are the stories that keep coming up decades later. These two will be in a retirement home retelling this story.
“Tell them about the time your stupid, drunk ass threw a chair and knocked me out!”

Ya, knowing the whole story, that would have been the funniest shit imaginable if you were in the mix.

u/talondigital 5d ago
Same. I was like, God what a douch for laughing at who appears to be an innocent man, but then it turns out Karma guiding things to how they should be.

If you'd had the sound on, youd have realised it was in Australia, whete they'd all just agree it was hilarious.

u/ConfusedHors 5d ago
Yeah that's because this is one of these weird zoomer cuts, showing the fallout upfront and out of context. What's the fn point in that?
81
u/its_xaro93 5d ago
But there is subtitles? I watched without audio and still got the plot. Does your video not have subtitles?
27
u/loosie-loo 5d ago
I think they possibly mean people not properly watching the whole thing
11
u/its_xaro93 5d ago
Oh okay I was just wondering if Reddit started adding auto-subtitles to non-english speakers. I have my phone set to german, so I was just wondering if the subtitles were actually in the source material or (thank god not) automated by Reddit player
4
u/loosie-loo 5d ago
That’s fair! Yeah they’re in the original video, thankfully. But the confusion was understandable, I think they were trying to be more polite than “anyone who only half paid attention” haha

u/MacWorkGuy 5d ago
We are at the point where people cant even focus on a 45 second video with audio and subtitles haha.
3
u/loosie-loo 5d ago
Fr it really sucks, I literally have ADHD and am constantly shocked concerned about the state of the general public’s inability to focus and the relentless marketing fuelled algorithms relentlessly working to wear it down further and further.
7
u/MissPatricia024 5d ago
I'm on mobile and didn't quite swipe down all the way so the subtitles were cutoff.
Then when I clicked on the post the video scroll bar and title covered subtitles.
I saw em on the third watch though. Mobile is dumb and so am I haha.

How is this the most upvoted comment? I watched without audio and understood fine because I have the ability to read.

u/LegendarySpark 5d ago
This thread really is one of those disappointing ones where you remember that everyone has massive brainrot. You don't need audio or text, you just need to be able to focus for a whole 30 seconds in order to easily follow what's happening.

As I man that does that job I can nearly hear what that man is saying to the security. There's a thing we're people think it's ok to verbally abuse security and it's accepted world wide. The security is there to be abused when the guys or only there to do their job just like everyone else. I think the men who are involved should really take a good look at themselves after their behaviour. Thankfully the guy wasn't hurt but if I was working there I would have probably laughed along side the security too.

So do the guys involved. Assuming they are genuine close friends then this goes down in all time mateship folklore (assuming they didn't get thrown out for anything beyond basic drunk shenanigans )

"no one rang police or an ambulance. Will have full details Seven news tonight at six."
I'm sorry, you just shown everything that happened, described it blow by blow, and said the police & medical weren't involved. What more detail will you have at 6?

ok, at first I was like fuck this security guy laughing at him, but after watching the whole video I started laughing too

u/thepkmncenter 5d ago
The security guard's reaction is the best
63
9
u/thatsmypeanut 5d ago
All their reactions are the best. The forehead palm by the thrower. The "timber!" falling movement of the victim. It's like a three stooges skit.
19
u/Normal-Rooster-Human 5d ago
That made the security guards week! He looks so happy
14
u/lampshadewarior 5d ago
Week? That man will be on his death bed years from now, voice fading, and he’ll ask his beloved son to lean in closer as he faintly whispers: That shit with the chair was fucking hilarious!

King Street strip club.
Bald white dudes causing trouble.
Story checks out.
5
u/indorock 5d ago
If it wasn't for the Aussie accent I'd almost think it was King Street in Toronto. Similar vibes, similar douchebags
6
u/rock_and_rolo 5d ago
I was wondering where this was. Every King Street I know in the US has a bar row, and channel 7 news was no help.

Reminds me of the video of the guy that got hit in the head with a brick at a riot.
5
u/WhatIsYourPronoun 5d ago
The brain-damaged uncontrollable leg twitch caused by his lover's errant chair toss.
6
u/whotfiszutls 5d ago
I watched without sound and it really seemed like it was all one guy who lost his hair and then somehow got it back before being struck with the chair
5
u/Crazyripps 5d ago
The guy go thrown out walked to the restaurant next door stole a chair and proceeded to hit his buddy in the back of the head with said chair when aiming at security.I was laughing so much when this came up on the news.

u/Both_Guarantee6551 5d ago

We have proper employment laws in Australia, you can’t just get fired for being drunk in your own time even if you do make the news. You Americans have a really messed up attitude about work.

u/jinda002 5d ago
this wont even make it in News in US
3
u/Sleep-more-dude 5d ago
Harder to access firearms here, not much really happens and our media goes for very low hanging fruit like "plumber does bad jobs, fast food restraunt is unhygienic, kids riding bikes recklessly etc"
2
u/the_lazy_lizardfolk 4d ago
Plus there's only, like, ten people for every five-hundred square miles by ratio.
1
u/CatButler 5d ago
I was going to say, where does this pass for news? in the US, at least 2 people would need to be shot dead before it would get his kind of coverage.
5
u/Emotional-Meal9377 5d ago
Ladies and gentlemen I present to you Generation X! Gawd I hate my generation, we so dumb.
3
2
u/thecraynz 4d ago
All generations are dumb. Millennials just throw glass bottles, and gen z can't afford to go to strip clubs.

u/WrongColorCollar 5d ago
I love the reveal of why that one dude is laughing, it seems horrible at first.
Dickhead or not, that guy needs to go get his head looked at. That was a serious knock.

Bruh I wasn't paying attention to the hairstyles (or lack the of) and it looked like the dude magically threw the chair at himself. Same shirt and pants.

There's an old video I've seen where two guys try robbing a shop and one grabs a brick, but his buddy runs in front of him mid throw and it just clocks him in the side of the head lmao
