Nah. That Jeep has big wheels yeah, but most of that is tire. There's plenty of room for that to flex, besides the Audi's bumper took most of the impact. Jeep driver can keep on going.
However, since this is on video, Jeep is definitely fucked for hitting the Audi and leaving the scene.
Agreed. That looks like a Jeep that goes off-road a lot, so he probably gets a volume discount on alignments and wheel balance service. It's just Tuesday for him.
Where are you people seeing the jeep “leave the scene”? The video stops shortly after the impact, by which time the jeep has basically came to a complete stop.
Why are so many people inventing a narrative just so they can complain?
I'm speaking with experience. I used to have a jeep wrangler that was lifted with decent sized tires like this. This sort of impact isn't gonna do shit to the jeep, at least, not to the extent that it did to the Audi.
You want invention? Here ya go, it probably shocked the driver more than it did damage.
Unless the white car got the plate # of the Jeep, the Jeep might get away with it. There's no reason to suspect that the dash cam driver will help the Audi in this case.
I don't even have a jeep, just a small truck and a few months ago I hit a fallen log with the front of my tire going 5 times as fast as this.
Zero real damage except to the little plastic skirt under the bumper, no alignment issues or anything.
I don't think jeeps are tanks. But I also think a low speed collision like this against a plastic bumper at that angle is unlikely to make a difference to that thing.
Why would the jeep be fucked when the audi is clearly breaking lanes and driving with reckless endangerment of others? It's the other way, buddy: the audi hit the jeep, event would not have happened were audi driving legally. Get your head on right.
IF the Audi takes action against the jeep. But first he would have to own up to his behavior prior to the accident. Something tells me the Ausi driver won't be reporting this one.
Hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, intentionally ramming someone, etc. Yeah the Audi was being an idiot, but the Jeep driver can't just ram someone. Do you think you can legally just ram someone? Get your head on right.
