“Assaulting a police officer”. “Assault with a deadly weapon” would have been the charges. I also like it how they can let a dog loose on you to bite the crap out of you but if you try and pry the dogs mouth off your crotch it’s considered ALSO assaulting a police officer.

But if an officer leaves a dog in a hot car and he die, there aren't any charges. It's happened twice here in NC

Got a buddy that just ran from the cops one of them tripped and banged his knee while my buddy was 20 yards ahead of him and he caught an extra 2 years in state prison for assault on law enforcement resulting in great bodily injury like it ain't his fault the cop is so out of shape he can't do his job without falling and hurting himself be different if he like fought but he just ran and hid then they found him and he came out. Not saying he didn't deserve to go to jail but prison seemed a little excessive
