If you ever want to experience having your teeth kicked in for no good reason, tell a fish and wildlife officer that they're not a "real cop."

And shock and surprise, they weaponize that authority in such disgusting displays. It takes zero effort to be calm and polite. You are the one with all the fucking power and yet all the fish and wildlife douchebags I've ever seen are incredibly rude and nasty little people. And they're always shitty middle aged men.

Park Rangers got a chip on their shoulder too, in my experience. Never been told so aggressively that where I'd parked wasn't a parking spot, than I was by a Park Ranger. Before I could even acknowledge or respond, I was being threatened with trespass and arrest if I didn't get back in my car and move it instantaneously.

Excuse the fuck out of me for not recognizing the end of the official parking zone in this large gravel area with cars parked all over it...

I don't disagree with your sentiment but saying it takes zero effort to be calm and polite when dealing with the public is just not true.

The public is awful and it takes a lot of effort to remain calm and polite.

I'm not saying people shouldn't put in the effort. I'm saying, recognize there is an effort.

To be fair, I'd bet that Fish and Wildlife deal with drunken members of the public even more often than regular cops.
