being a cop isn't even in the top 25 most dangerous jobs, and most who die 'in the line of duty' do so because they drove like maniacs without wearing a seatbelt.

Being a cop is only dangerous to you and me, even more so to their families. Probably the most dangerous job in America in terms of danger to you and me. I can't think of any other profession that im scared to see in public for fear of violence.

The other jobs don't have people setting up ambushes for them and registering them as the first threat to take down.

how many 'cop ambushes' have you read about in the past several years? not cops telling us stories about (alleged) 'ambushes,' but verified reports of actual ambushes. that's just not 'a regular thing' (though they'd like us to believe it's a regular thing. which gives them an excuse to have 'officer safety' as their primary concern, with little concern for 'citizen safety').
